Don't give me 'stop acting like it then' when you are lying to me. You are trying to tell me that just by coincidence you moved the thread a day after Super started a poll to have the thread removed?

What possible motive would I have for lying?
If I moved it because of super_realist it wouldn't make a difference, as the thread still was going to be moved. As it happens, I didn't actually see the poll from super_realist before I moved the topic.

Re: Rangers News
Why was it still going to be moved when it's ready to be locked out at any time? There is 18 pages there relating to Rangers Football club who were a part of the SPL and never will be a part of the SFL. The thread is about Rangers Football club and not the newco because it doesn't exist yet. So you just decided that all of a sudden and it had nothing to do with Supers poll and quest he had set out on, no?

Re: Rangers News
You have to give a Giant (an obvious Rangers fan) some credit for actually being brave enough to comment at all. I don't see many other Rangers fans doing it. It can't be easy reading all the abuse (deservedly, I must add) for his beloved club (or ex-club). But the fact remains they have been kicked out of the SPL and they are in a football limbo. He just has to accept that they don't belong to an SPL thread any more. I am actually surprised so many voted for them to still be on the SPL thread. I guess the fans are still in the denial stage of bereavement and have not moved on the acceptance stage yet.

Re: Rangers News
Galveston, using your logic you won't object to a news thread from East Stirling on the SPL pages then?
Rangers aren't an SPL club anymore, so shouldn't have posts relating to them on it.
Seems like pretty simple logic to me.
As for my poll, it was simply to gauge opinion, not force a change, as it happens, there's a fairly even three way split as to where it should be.
As for the 18 pages of "news" relating to when they were an SPL club, well it isn't news anymore and any of the "news" is now irrelevant history.

It is a sad state of affiars, from the potential signing of Diego Biseswar to this in 19 pages.

Re: Rangers News
I dont really see the problem with moving the thread out of the SPL section? Rangers are no longer an SPL club (are they even a club at all?)
I dont understand why people would be too bothered about Rangers now I have to say. Why would existing fans of the old Rangers club want to support a team that has been linked so strongly to sectarianism in the past and who has been caught cheating at present. The death of Rangers is surely an ideal opportunity for those fans to follow something better? Rangers were once a big side in the days before money destroed fotball but truth be told for the last couple of decades they have been a relic of a bygone era and scarcely better than tams in League one. The impression I got was that it was history that was all that kept the old Firm "big". Now with Rangers being liquidated even that history is no longer a part of the club so why would anyone want to follow this team?
I hope the death of Rangers will spell the end of the Scottish fascination with these two poor Olf Firm sides that were going nowhere and will spell a shift in emphasis towards rugby which has suddenly suffered in the pro era. If Scotland put half as much interest into their rugby as they did with the Old Firm and fourth rate other football sides they may actually be a force in the 6 Nations once again rather than battling it out with Italy for the wooden spoon.

McGregor set to swap Rangers for Besiktas
Besiktas are close to sealing the capture of Scotland goalkeeper Allan McGregor on a free transfer from Rangers.
McGregor, 30, is the latest Rangers player to look to leave the stricken club, with his agent already having travelled to Turkey to discuss terms for a three-year contract.
The goalkeeper was one of several Rangers players to accept a pay cut last season and admitted at the time that, should the situation worsen, he would look elsewhere for employment.
Eleven Rangers players including McGregor have refused to transfer their contracts to the Rangers "newco", although those who have signed for new clubs are yet to receive international clearance.
McGregor has spent his entire career to date at Ibrox, making 278 appearances for the club and winning three league titles. He has appeared for Scotland on 21 occasions.

I was not aware that there was a poll on the topic until I moved this one. I then clicked "Click here to return to forum" and saw the topic. I don't hold a personal vendetta against you or Rangers FC, I was simply moving a topic from the wrong section.
I don't think anyone has a personal vandetta against Rangers fc anymore since they are no longer.

Newco Rangers have actually be done a favour, without 3 years of accounts they weren't elegible to apply, however they where voted in by 29 of the 30 clubs

Re: Rangers News
Not sure what has happened to this thread. At one point it was a source of information about what was happening to Rangers, in terms of its debts, management etc. Then it seemed to be taken over by some saying what "should" happen to Rangers, and then it was taken over by some saying "good riddance to Rangers". Then it was removed from the SPL section, then it was removed from Scottish section.

It was moved out of the SPL section when they were rejected from it, GG pointed out that they weren't in the SFL either so it was moved to Football until a decision was made. It's now back in the Scottish Football section.

News that the Rangers games will be in 3D is false.
They will in fact be in D3.

Dorin Goian eyes Rangers exit after refusing to play in fourth tier
• Romanian defender keen to leave after club's problems
• 'I would have stayed if it was the First Division'
Dorin Goian aims to leave Ibrox after the Rangers newco was voted into the Irn-Bru Third Division.
The Romanian defender, who joined Rangers from Palermo last summer, had vowed to stay if the club were allowed into the First Division. But he quickly announced his intention to quit after 25 Scottish Football League clubs voted to admit Charles Green's Rangers in the bottom tier.
Goian told Romanian media: "I am not playing at the fourth level – there's no question of that. I am on my way back and I will meet the president of the club and I will learn more.
"My agent has already spoken with other teams but nothing has been agreed yet. I would have stayed if it was the First Division – but not this."

I assume the old Rangers players who stayed with the club are still on the same terms and conditions.
So if Naysmith had stayed he would be on £15,000 a week for playing in the fourth level of Scottish football. Nae bad eh!

Whittaker will do quite well with Norwich in the E&WPL.
His weakness is his temperament, he does do stupid things and get sent off quite a bit. Wholehearted player though.

SPL clubs meet to discuss alternatives to Third Division
Scottish Premier League clubs are meeting to discuss alternatives to Division Three for newco Rangers.
The annual general meeting of the 12 member clubs is taking place at Hampden on Monday morning.
Among the business on the agenda is the possibility of creating an SPL 2 in a league restructure, which would consist of newco Rangers as well as current Division One clubs.
Sevco Scotland Limited chief executive Charles Green and manager Ally McCoist are representing Rangers at the meeting, as the old company’s share in the SPL has not been relinquished.
Last week the Scottish Football League clubs voted to force the newco Ibrox club to start life in the Third Division.
The SPL clubs are also expected to discuss whether Dunfermline Athletic or Dundee FC will be accepted into the league to fulfil Rangers' slot, which is occupied in fixture lists as 'Club 12'.
During the meeting, clubs will also discuss the new TV deal with Sky and ESPN for the coming season which starts next month.
