I liked the coaches at the post game press conferences.
First Dessie Hasler sits down. and says
"well i couldn't see that coming"
Ten minutes later, craig Bellamy.
"well no one could see that coming"
oh, and also what about little brother Brett looking big brother Glenn...

Yeah, and the ref sends them off one at a time to try and avoid that but Stewart gingerly takes his time, then Blair trots off after him... great stuff.

Taylorman, I think he'll go ok - he's probably good for 2 or 3 handling errors but that's par for the course for him. Is prone to miss the odd tackle in going for the big hit but I think on the whole it's a net gain to have him in there. He'll also add some composure to the base of the scrum with his understanding with Genia.

The Aus side look very very good ,worryingly good in fact. I wish we (england) had a number 8 that can shift like theirs.

Wallabies awesome.
Much more intensity and pressure.
Helped by a huge number of dropped passes.
Samo brilliant. As he was reds this year.
Decisive so far.

No doubt TGG thinks the Samo try should be disallowed and a penalty awarded to NZ for someone taking the ball off NZ number 7

Re: Congratulations Wallabies Win Tri Nations
The intensity of Aus is fantastic.... they haven't played at this level for a very long time.
NZ look like have been caught surprised and at the moment haven't been able to respond.
Expect NZ to come back strong in 2nd half but with their pack crocked.... McCaw in the wars, Thompson & Read out and Vito & Williams in the backrow I'm not sure they have the firepower to come back for the win.
PS - Saw Cooper take a swipe at McCaw again... can imagine Thorn lining him up for a legal rib breaker.

Only seen the last 2 minutes of the first half and Aus 20-3 up.
Is this the full Abs side or another trial side run by Graham Henry?

Well, the AB's were poor by their standards in the 1st half (due maily to the Aussie's not letting them play, but poor execution when they weren't being abnormally pressurised.

Other than Kaino who is on leave then its a first XV.
NZ initially got caught with their pants down. Aus upped their intensity hitting everything at full pace.
Their defensive tackling in the 1st half was amazin.

NZ may take some heart from their comeback... it was quite impressive to be fair.
But the momentum Aus will get not only from the win but also the performance, the great 1st half performance and their resolve in the 2nd half.
Got to see them as a major threat now.

What an amazing game but some real issues.
Ali Williams trip should have been a yellow card. I didnt see which Aussie it was that kneed the AB on the ground, that could have been a yellow card. The AB's defence constantly offside and the Aussies line out was never straight.
Well done to the Aussies though and if they play like that against Ireland, well Ireland will be beaten soundly.

In some ways I agree... NZ may just knuckle down now and not take teams like Aus for granted.... it could be the shock they needed.
Although a Aus team with air in their lungs is not a sight any team wants to oppose.
Unless IRE win convincingly today I can't see IRE beating Aus in the pools.... the momentum Aus now have will be too great to counter.

It was Cooper on McCaw.
First half Cooper took a swing at McCaw at a ruck... 2nd half he kneed him in the face and Thorn rightly threw him to the ground and rubbed his face in the mud.

Cheers fa0019, i dont like seeing things like that. It was a cheap shot and he can feel lucky to have not seen a yellow card. The same as Ali Williams.
Great stuff from the Aussies though, i thought that they were gone when the AB's got it to 20-20.

Well he chose Aus over NZ and he's good enough to play for NZ if he wanted (perhaps not current starter mind) so it seems like it was the choice from the heart.
He played for Aus all the way from schoolboy... if he was that set on being a AB then I'm sure he would have gone for it.

congratulations Aussies, that first half was the best performance of 40 minutes of rugby I have seen all year, from any team.
It is a very long time since the Abs have lost two games in a row,i hope the All Blacks can turn this into a positive as they noe turn their attention to the World Cup.
Any one else feel that Rocky Elsom was a differeent man out their today, His work rate contributed a lot to Australia..

Well done the Wallabies,20-3 at half time 3 tries to two, worthy winners both of The match and the 3Ns.
A perfect start to there RWC campaign, what did people say about momentum.
For the All Blacks you can`t win them all,now you can concentrate on the big one.
