I see that Danaher is fit for selection this week stnick, that's a big boost for us. One of the most underated players in the Premiership.

Like to see him at openside as we have a load of blindsides now.
Wouldn't mind seeing Evans start at lock and Garvey at 6, would bulk up our pack a bit and Garveys workrate is higher than most blindsides anyway, his tackle stats are outstanding.

I hear Gibson might be back this week as well.
From 4-8 where pretty ok now when everyone is fit, it's just the front row where we are a little bit thin on quality if we lose a couple.

Strong running centre, good defender. Could be a decent option at 12. Has lots of potential but had a real bad run with injuries so not played much over the past 18-24 months.
You never know, he could be one of those inspired signings who comes in, stays fit and just clicks and is superb for us, or could be continually injured and released when his contract is up having barely played.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
I've heard a few murmurs of it being the latter!
Seen a few clips of him on youtube and he looks like a strong runner, but that was probably a while ago.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Nick let's see how Bowden does when it rains. Then I will be convinced. To be fair Payne should look good at the moment along with any other decent player. With all the best players at the world cup the rabo has some dire and very young players in it. Same as the AP. Some of the players playing will see little game time post wc so everything needs to be judges with a pinch of salt.
Parisse has been a monster in many games at top level and for me is up there with the group pooly named.
Read has been sensational the last year and so on form is worlds best current 8.
Why has pete changed his name

Most people change their names for a dodgy reason, Pete strikes me as the sort of person who would do it for a really dodgy reason after getting himself into all sorts of trouble...
Bowden's impressed me this season so far, hope he doesnt go down the England route though, that'd be so frustrating, but wouldnt surprise me in the slightest under Johnson!

Change of subject completely - but does anyone own a MAC? And if so how easy to use are they? I've got to get one for some editing of film documents and have never used them before.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Anybody else hoping NZ get stuffed this week. Would put them in our draw but the amount of complaining about France lineup is shocking.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Nope, I am hoping for NZ to smash the French and make sure that all southern hem teams are in one side of the draw and all northern hem teams are in the second side .
Is it a Romanian 'b' team they've put out from the looks of it - we have to win by 50+ in this one, otherwise we are in serious trouble.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
I think NZ will win it regardless, only way they wont is if Carter of McCaw get injured - they've got far too many strike runners in their backline and Carter just gives them a perfect platform.
Not the biggest fan of their front five, and think Weepu is the ebst of a bad bunch for NZ at no9 (Kelleher still best NZ scrummie?) - but their strike runners are the difference between them and most other teams.
They're only as arrogant as the English are about football during the world cups, at least they can back it up - still amazed England climbed to 4th in the world rankings a few months ago! That's like saying Scotland are 2nd best in rugby!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Jocks have rotated well, all 3 scummies have played well. Thought Cusiter was outstanding when he came on last week. I think there's a few that wouldn't be in Scotlands strongest team if picked today.

Morrison and De Luca is such a poor midfield.
At least Ansbro gave them a bit of spark.
Not a fan of Jackson at 10 either.

With the big scottish pack they should play parks and abandon any hope of scoring tries. If it rains the jocks can cause problems

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
was just going to say exactly that Mat, the only way that Scotland will beat us is if the heavens open, their backrow and pack is going to be a test for us when the rain comes. I'm not sure that England play to their strengths and have enough intelligence to change a game when plan a is going to pot.
Imagine if we give Parks 10 penalties in a half - they'll be out of reach!

Hey Matt,
Since you are on... What did you make of JTH's form over the last 2/3 months of the season last year and the Amlin run in? Has it continued through the start of the seaon?
If I remember rightly you were quite impressed even though JTH isnt particularly a favourite player of yours...
For Chris's benefit of course...

Johnny to be honest with you he has been sensational and has worked on his faults. He is never going to be a distributor and has a poor pass but he offloads well and runs great lines and tackles well. Most improved player in the prem last year. Was fantastic in Europe and must be near England sqiad
