The All Ireland Champions of 2011 Will Be................
The Big One 2011- Kerry V Dubs
This years All-Ireland final is now only five days away and the kingdom are due to announce their team later today. Kerry have won 8 of the teams previous final meetings with the dubs triumphing 3 times. Already seeming that Kerry are the favourites for this one and there's competition for places in the Kerrymen's starting XV before finalisation including that annoying Kumquat Paul Galvin pushing for a place. More good omens coming from the Kerry camp as far as the more neutral spectators are concerned as Jack O'Connor is confident that Kerry fans will not tolerate Donegal standard horseshit, so they should be entertaining at least.
This wee island isn't big enough for the two of them, who will be crowned ultimate champions of the whole universe? If you're county has already been KO'd who do you want to win? Who do you want to see in the teams and what kind of match are you expecting? Here's to what will hopefully be a great final and let me be the first to nail my colors to the mast for this one and say- UP THE KINGDOM!

Kerry will take the Jackeens to the cleaners.
Watch the Dubs revert to Donegal style
Here's to a nice Munster double Tipp/Kerry

UP THE DUBS!!!!
Let's have an upset. If they play with some hwyl like Wales did at the weekend, Dublin will be dancing

Aye, hopefully they'll play with the same kind of hwyl as Wales so that they can lose the same way as well. The Kerry forwards will tear Dublin to shreds.

John, how dare you go for Dublin. Kerry people always support Limerick in the Hurling. You are right about Donaghy though. He is due a big game and may very well have one. If as expected Dublin play in Kerry's faces they will have to play it long to Donaghy so it is important that he is on form.

Aka,
I always go for the underdog. I used to be a fanatical Man U fan in the mid 80's and 90's but don't really care now that they are the top dogs in England.
Thanks for the support in the hurling, much appreciated!!! I know quite a few Kerrymen and I was unaware that they cared!! it was like "Hurling"......."Yearra what's hurling"...................

Re: The Big One 2011- Kerry V Dubs
I'm not sure who I want to win
to be honest don't want either to win
Don't like Kerry winning as its kind of wanting the most successful team to be more successful, but I also don't really like the Jackeens (who outside Dublin does).
So I'm torn, I think since Dublin are the underdogs that they will get my support.

Lets say who would you like to see winning then if you don't particularly want someone to win.
Why not watching Thom? I'll at least be watching the online re-run if I can't see it on a live stream.

I'm busy playing a match on the Sunday. I won't watch the full match but will be watching the Sunday game. I will try to not find out the score, but that won't happen.

Cork played so poor against Mayo they are lucky that the title was not taken back off them.

Good luck in the match then Thom.
No probs RB.
Its alright lass, I've already got a few sites in mind that might have a decent stream. They'll show the re-run for the diaspora on RTE anyway. Besides I could still end up missing it if it turns out I'm going to be busy that day.

If I believed everything I read I probably wouldn't be able to bring myself to watch the game, but I'm going for blind optimism. Dubs to edge Kerry having played the best game of thier careers.

I'll chance my arm on the day if nothing turns up tonight. I know where to go, I just hope the touts aren't looking for big money.
Cari, my bro in law's phone has been ringing off the hook with every randomer hes ever met looking for tickets. I wouldn't put himunder pressure this week anyway, he's up to his eyes. Eoins sis might have tickets for us, will find out tonight. Fingers crossed.

Cari,I picked up three last year at face value which was €180 in total. The tickets you get in those places are from regualr punters I'm positive some will be available, they will usually sell at face value. Touts are an option but won't be cheap!

Oh that's not bad for three tickets Thom. I was thinking 6/700 Euros.

The majority of Corkonians will be cheering for the Jackeens on Sunday except the good people of West Cork.

Geography was never my best subject but i know where Bandon is and i know there's an enclave of Dubs for the day down there. They'l need to be at more than a canter to win this. Good to hear that confidence is up though.

Kado, west of Bandon is probably the dividing line. Although funnily enough, the local team where my parents have a house wear Dublin's colours.

Can Kerry need anymore motivation? Liam Hayes tips Dublin and our neighbours are hoping we lose. All we want is for Anthony Tohill to say that it would be good for football if Dublin won.

Ha the west Corkonian's, I was told in history class year's ago that the West Corkonian's were sneaky Kumquat's, they even fought for an English lord in the war of the roses and that's how Cork got the name the Rebel County, and there was me thinking they were called Rebels because they were all Rebelious against the English.

Re: The Big One 2011- Kerry V Dubs
I do indeed. A Jackeen was defined in early times as a self assertive worthless fellow citing the earliest documented use from the year 1840(straight off wiki) Basically een mean's little in Irish and Jack was a refrence to the Union jack as we were(still are) seen as the most English of all Irish people. Great isint it. Up the Jacks.
