Interested. Just started sixth form though so if work rate seriously increases might have to ditch 606 for a while

Think the plan is for 10, but Pull isn't sure which ten to choose. Don't forget that blogs/rowley/glosbear will have a team each as well though!

Really? Do you think we should keep it as 10 Euro sides then?

I agree with one or the other. Mixing them means we lose a lot of depth in foreigns etc

I would like a mix. I think it needs freshening up. There will still be loads of foreigns.
Can't do all SH though as the weak sides are too weak.

That's why I thought having 5 of each would work. Having all SH sides would mean such a big difference between top and bottom sides.

Totally agree, although the big dogs in S15 are right up there, the standard on average isn't as high. Personally i think the 5 NH and 5 SH is a great idea, can't see any downsides. Still plenty of quality in foreigns. Just think how much talent has gone to France and then think of the likes of Highlanders, Cheetahs, Hurricanes, Sharks, still WC in those sides

Re: WRL Season 5 - Homepage
I reckon we should have a mix, but as it has been the ERL I also reckon we should stick with European teams.
More French sides should be included like Perpignan and Racing Metro because they are stronger than last season.
Bulls, Crusaders etc... if you get one of them you are most likely to win the league because of the quality they have. It would be more challenging and fun, buying the likes of Matfield, Carter, McCaw and Read in the foreigns, instead of someone having them outright from the start.

You think? Even with all the signings that Toulon/ouse made? Bakkies Steen, McAll, Burgess, etc

Still think standard of HC is greater than Super Rugby. The level and intensity you have to play at home and away just to get out of the group is ridicolous.

Yep..
Toulouse: Servat, Steenkamp, Albacete, Dusatoir, Burgess, McAlister, Jauzion, Medard
Crusaders: Franks, Whitelock, Thorn, McCaw, Read, Ellis, Carter, Freaun, SBW, Guildford, Maitland, Dagg
Outrageous backline!!

Re: WRL Season 5 - Homepage
Poitrenaud still streets ahead of Maitland in my book and Fruean got a long way to go, think he is hugely over hyped, but still very young. Not anywhere near the likes of Kahui and Toeava IMO.
Think Skrela is really under rated on here as well

Re: WRL Season 5 - Homepage
It do agree with you that HC > S15.. I think most NH club sides would take apart the S15 outfits. However, individually the players in s15 are rated higher on here..

I'd always say the S15 was better than the HC. I think Leinster and Northampton would have been absolutely demolished by the Reds and Crusaders.

I disagree and outside of the Top 4 super 15, there is a huge gap. There isn't a big gap across the top 15 euro sides

Poitrenaud better fb than Maitland yer but overall not a huge difference. Freaun is better than Kahui and Toeava imo especially when hes with sbw

Only when he is with SBW you mean, in which case, insert any half decent 13 you can pick a line.

Re: WRL Season 5 - Homepage
Just a thought, maybe start this sooner like I said the World Cup game isn't getting the recognition that it should, while if we start this sooner than expected, the people who have entered will flock because it's the start of a successful league.
But the main thing im asking, maybe random an order in which managers have to pick in from 1st choice to 10th choice. However managers can pick whoever they want team wise.
Also think it's for the best not to include Super 15 sides, because the quality especially at the Crusaders, Bulls, Reds and some others is much more better than some English and Magners sides.

Carlton, you have already been told to pipe down on this, give it a rest. Pull can't have a life and run two leagues on here. There is so much more to it then you realise, trust me, I helped a little bit and that still takes time.
Pretty sure thats exactly how the teams are going to be picked, not to worry
Magners league is a joke, only Leinster, maybe Munster would be taken from their in a top 10 I would imagine

I agree, certainly not the Welsh or Scots. Would argue that Ulster could be stronger than Munster now, with their summer signings.

Re: WRL Season 5 - Homepage
Im just saying, don't make an effort with the Rugby World Cup game.
This is way more successful and most people will want to play this, and get it up and running again as soon as possible.
World Cup game is ok, but not many of us are active on it, it seems fluxy is really the only one properly contributing to the game, and pull of course as he organises it.
I would prefer to get the scructure and teams sorted for Season 5, and get the competition started much more sooner than expected because it's better and exciting.

Stop repeating yourself, like a broken record. Just accept what has been said, if you want so desperately to play now, then set up a league

Re: WRL Season 5 - Homepage
More people would prefer this game than playing the World Cup one.
You can easily see how slow the activeness is on the World cup game.
It's best to cancel the World Cup game, and concentrate and start this one.

How would you like it if you spent time and effort creating a league for a bit of fun for you and some acquintances, then some muppet came along and starting slating it, telling you it was c rap and not great.
Have some respect and give it a rest
