It was fought on Senlac Hill, Battle Abbey was buit on the site during the 12th century.
Previous to the battle with William, Harold had fought his half-brother Tostig Godwinson and Harold Hadrada leading a Norse army at the battle of Stamford Bridge.

He was braveheart In which case I'm done - I don't know any others. De Valera, Haughey & Fitzgerald were all PMs too.

Re: Quiz Questions
OK, it definitely wasn't Charles "chuckles" Haughey. De Valera was "president" before Ireland had presidents if you know what I mean? Late twenties or early thirties.
So it's got to be Fitzgerald, he was old enough to have played rugby and it be forgotten.
Fitzgerald, final answer.
As for the province, I think we can count Ulster out, I think I would know if a president had played for Connacht, so it's either Leinster or Munster....
Munster, final answer.

Hughie, it weren't chuckles, it couldn't be. D.V WAS a president, but only of a committee before the Republic had proper presidents, I can't go on with the torment.
