I'm rating Mayweather through the ages...Olympic feather, super-feather,
lightweight, light-welter, welter and light-middlle. Let's look at fighters
at those weights who would have beaten him....simple.

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
One of the judges had it 96-93 to Vargas after a point deduction!
She'll be driving home in a Floyd bought car tonight!

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
Yeah, not surprising. Not sure Vargas deserved it, and he looked very poor after all the hype from the Mayweather camp.
Vargas vs Khan? Not for a long long time, if Vargas has any sense.
Also, is it me, or does Khan look a hell of a lot bigger than Vargas at the weight.

Benny's hair is immense - can I have his hairdressers name please!
Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
Morales third round - 29-28(M)
Still think cano will stop him

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
much better from Cano - round 5 to him
48-47 to Morales for me after 5

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
To echo Wayne McCullough, I hope Morales wins this then retires. It is sad watching him now in comparison to his former self, despite the fact that he can still handle himself!
Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
He said he would take one more fight as part of a 6 fight comeback
Morales round 68-65 to Morales

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
Another Morales round - 78-74
Cano looks beaten up - great heart though

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
What was the doc doing? Should have been stopped half way through that round
Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
Buncey - ask Khan if he would take Mayweather next if Floyd wins tonight
Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
Question for Buncey:
Who from the Contender has had the best career in your opinion?
Gomez? Mora? Manfredo ?

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
Buncey, how would you see Mayweather vs Naseem Hamed going at say a catchweight between featherweight and super-featherweight?
My own take would be a Mayweather UD, though Hamed's power and unorthodox style could cause a few problems along the way.

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
Holy god feck, who dug Cortez up for the mayweather fight??!!
Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
Buncey,
please read out the punch Stats of the McCloskey fight to Khan, then ask him how he feels about The FACT that McCloskey has beaten Prescott (not suffered a 54 second embarrassing hammering). the guy is deluded and I expected a straight talking man like yourself to mention something!
silly me

Buncey...
Alvarez looks pretty special but looks a little clueless when backed up under pressure, how would he cope with a rangey fighter at junior Middle like Paul Williams?

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
To add to that, one of our members suggested he can either attack or defend, but struggles to mix the two. Do you feel he needs to add this element to his game in order to take on the very best?
Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
McAlvarez nearly let Gomez back into that fight with his Mayweather shoulder roll imitation.

Buncey, Ortiz surely playing into Floyds hands putting on so much weight overnight? He'll be too slow and he'll be eating counter rights all night.

He read out comments posted by members of the various forums involved, and in some instances discussed those comments.
606v2 got 5 or 6 mentions, I believe.

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
He definately read out messages from John Wayne, one of the Captains and Jimmy Stuart, although it was brief there was a few other websites involved and there was too much boxing to get through to have much studio time. John's was a baldy question to Bunce which they had a chuckle about.

Buncemeister, what's your take on Box Nation and how do you see its effect on the sport and its fans.

Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
Steve, just last week we were discussing ways of ridding the sport of the proliferation of belts, ensuring that the best fight the best, and having just one champion again per division. One suggestion was that it'd be nice for a multi-billionaire to come along and buy out all of the governing bodies. Can you suggest any other ways that could correct the wrongs and rid boxing of this 'disease'?
Re: Steve Bunce discussion for Primetime
Look at Ward, look at B-Hop, look at Mayweather. if Haye had shaved his head would he be the heavyweight champion right now and Wlad an over sized has been?
