Glasgow 42%
Benetton Treviso 36%
Connacht 32%
Aironi 4%
Whats intresting about the stats, is leaving Leinster and Munster out, how close the the remaining teams are.
it's about a 4% difference between each team.
You could say Ospreys are doing well with joint most titles (3) and missing 2 seasons and only having the 3rd best win rate.
You must conclude that whe Ospreys have a good years and bad years, while Leinster are more consistant.

Re: Celtic League Cumulative Statistics
Irritating that the Dragons are down there with the cack teams, clearly there is a gulf between the top 6 and the rest.
Hopefully that gap will close sooner rather than later, but I sense while the Italian clubs will improve the Scottish ones will probably get worse.

Italian clubs can improve at a lot faster rate than Dragons or Connacht can, I'd say that Dragons Connacht the two Scottish teams and Italians, will make up the bottom half for many many years to come.

Re: Celtic League Cumulative Statistics
to overtake Scarlets Dragond have to win 7 games while the Scarlets lose 7, maybe not this season but maybe after next season, Dragon could jump into top 6.
Doubt it will happen though.

Doesn't that make them (in your words) cack?

Hopefully the Scarlets can keep improving and keep investing in youth and increase our 50% win rate to say 59% in the next 2/3 years. It's depressing when you compare any of the teams to Munster/Leinster anyway you look at it

Over the last few seasons you could indeed call them that, however the Dragons academy is now firing out a lot of talent, Lydiate, Faletau, Tovey, Steffan Jones and quite a few others are coming through, so hopefully they will be tied down to long term contracts and we will see the rise of the Dragons.greybeard wrote:Doesn't that make them (in your words) cack?
Clearly all the Welsh regions have got brilliant academy systems in place, as do the Irish teams. I have been very impressed with the Italian reserve sides in the RaboDirect this season, especially Aironi. Hence my comment about Scotland falling behind, they just don;t have the numbers coming through that Ireland, and Wales seem to, and seem to be falling behind Italy.

I see that you are quoting the Scottish teams as being cack, despite the Dragons only finishing above a Scottish side once in the past five seasons and Glasgow pretty much owning the HC group meetings over the past couple of seasons.
Glasgow and Edinburgh have been brining through a number of good players in recent years and our current batch at Glasgow are not doing too bad, considering we just came back from Leinster with a win, despite have eight Under 22s in our starting XV.
