Webber needs two strong scrummages alongside him which he doesn't often get. Your scrum always looks better when Lindsay comes on but Webber adds more around the park. Doesn't help that Payne is pretty awful too.
Will be the battle of the garbage scrums at the weekend!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4 homepage
Driver it all depends on whether Hart is fit I think - if he is then our backrow has a really good balance to it, he really helps Launchbury in these games and Poff has been motm in nearly every game so far. We've got Billy Vunipola to play but he's probably 2 years off being a top first team player, def one to keep an eye out for though.
We also struggle if Robinson doesnt play, not a coincidence we've lost the two games he hasnt played in. He adds a lot to our backline with Flutey and Bell. Southall has missed the last two games too, and he's a cracking signing.
I would say if Robinson, Hart and Southall play we will win.

I would start burger over saull. Saull has looked good in 2 games I have seen this year. Great lineout option also although

Kvesic is defintitely a 6. only plays their for Worcester, he wont get Abbott out the team who is a real talent, a proper out and out 7.

Matt....I meant the fact he's behind Burger most of last season when I was expecting him to start. The lad who started against Leicester was quality, think the pundits mentioned something about Saull being dropped due to lack of form.

I remember people saying Saull should be playing for England which I never agreed with. Always thought Steffon Armitage was a lot better. Heard he has made a good start with Toulon, has played at 6 and 8 for them a bit funnily enough.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4 homepage
saull needs to move club, he doesnt suit Sarries style of play at all, reckon he would be brilliant at a more open and expansive club like Gloucester or Bath - he isnt a gritty player that Sarries like e.g. Burger.
SJE I think you mean WIll Fraser, he's 22 and is meant to be a very good - I find that young players can come in and do very well for about 4-5 games because the opposition has no video footage of them, and then they can get marked out of the game a bit. Jackson Wray is good, coached him at my old club, who have made national leagues, but then had 11 of their first team poached...hoping I dont get called up soon!

England very poor. I'd definately make some changes for the 1/4's.
Youngs, Stevens, Thompson (first half), Haskell, Wilkinson all poor.
Tuilagi (MoM), Foden and Croft were excellent I thought. Ashton did what he had to do well.
I'd bring in Corbs, Palmer, Easter, Flood and maybe Hartley in for the 1/4 finals.

Also Carter might be out for the WC. That will make it a more even playing field as NZ will now have some fairly average half backs for the 1/4 finals at least

How bad was youngs today had a real off day and just annoyed the red. Should have been taken off first half. Great player but showed his inexperience.
Stevens struggled also.
Tuilagi was excellent and palmer has to start. Anyone
Know how tindall is?

I thought Cole struggled as well Mat. Jacobsen at times was scrummaging illegally as you could see with the overhead camera shots, but Cole failed to deal with him and needs to up his game.
Youngs distribution was terrible and he lacked drive. I wonder if he needs the calmer head of Easter at 8 to play his natural game?

V poor display, esp 1st half. Youngs & Wilko very poor going forward, Youngs done some shocking passes. Saying that they were outstanding defensively and both kicked well from hand.
Palmer has to start, as does Easter at 8. Pack was terrible first half. We look threatening when Flood came on and I'd start with him against France. Think we could get some running rugby going and score tries.
Manu & Foden were v good

I thought our back three of Ashton, Armitage and Foden were excellent defensively.
They had little chance to show what they could do in attack due to what was going on in front of them.

Agree pooly. You have To pick on form and flood deserves a shot but wilko worked hard and scares the french so I kind of come back to giving youngs and wilko again but if not working sub them early. Palmer and easter to start with moody dropped would be my ideal

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4 homepage
I like Wilko from bench v French, bring him on at 60min and they'll go to bits.
I think they're there to get at and if we run at them could get 20 points on scoreboard in no time.

were down to two senior props now, if you can call lahiff senior, so no suprise we got a battering in the scrum. scoring 30 points at glos is decent though, hearing bowden had another great game.

Cruden & Kirchner called up to cover for Carter/Steyn
Ireland looking great 2nd half, Darcy, Bowe, Heaslip & SOB looking in top form. Pereguini is no Th that's for sure, Ireland scrum taking them to pieces.

You must have watched a different game ferris was immense and makes ireland a much better side. He also frees sob up to do what he is best at and carry. Great balance to the backrow. Be interesting to see match ratings for players imagine ferris heaslip and sob at least 8 out of ten.

Ferris is going very well. Not up to where he was pre injury yet but definately looks like getting there again. As you say Matt massive hit on Castro.
SOB has been fantastic to date. Probably man of the match today for me. To say Ferris frees SOB up might be a bit much when SOB had a higher tackle count and more turnovers today

Didn't say he was not playing well Matt, just don't think he's playing as well as he has/could.
Done some good things though, think there's more to come through the WC from him as he looks like he's getting sharper.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4 homepage
Ferris makes ireland a better team not just sob. A bit
Like Richard hill for England. When he did not play the team did not play as well. Ferris is like that.
I expected him to be rusty and then he was man
Of the match against USA. Takes a lot of mental strength to come back from that many injuries.
To be fair ireland are so dependent on players like POC, Ferris and BOD that if one of them is missing they are in trouble.
BOD looked in great form
