Hard to call who the standouts have been. AB's are the only side not to have lost a game yet, although they've not had the sternest tests so far in truth.
Nonu
Kaino
Roberts
Would be my top 3, although not necessarily in that order. I do not include Warburton as although he has played very well, I feel he has been effective as part of an excellent back row unit as opposed to individually brilliant.
Looking forward to the weekends games.

How do people rate Tommy Bowe at OC?
I know he plays there a fair bit for Ospreys but I don't think everyone watches Pro do they?!?!

He can do a job there, but he's a better winger. Doesn't fit naturally at centre for me.

Agree with them but prefer the Oz second row. Vickerman is probably the best 'rucker' I've ever seen. He just smashes everyone

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4 homepage
I think the NZ engine has been best in comp so far, Thorn has been normal self and Whitelock has been excellent in set piece. Most successful lineout in WC. Horwill was great against SA though.
I look at that OZ pack and would prefer every NZ player except maybe Mealamu/Moore which is a toughie.
Aus strengths very much in backline, they've played a little within themselves v better sides though, almost like they'd rather not lose first.
Cooper has played well below par all world cup when you look at his form coming in. Not sure if he's not suiting their game plan or conditions?!?!?!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4 homepage
NZ pack is probably better but not by much. There was nothing in the scrum between the sides in the TN and they will both win their own lineouts.
McCaw will need to be at his best. Pressure on his shoulder is immense particularly after struggling with an injury this week.
I suspect a lot will depend on the start of the game. Oz need to fly out of the blocks and unsettle NZ early. I'd be looking for Samo to run hard at Cruden as often as possible early on.
Very noticeable that each side in the semi's has a brilliant back row.

Deserved red for Warburton, awful tackle. You can't take somebody up and then let go. Such a shame as spoiled the game.

Why was that a red card - Alain Rolland shouldnt be allowed to referee games after that. He's ruined the game, completely ruined it. What an absolute w anker.
COmplete and utter p rick that man.
If you hadn't guessed I think Rolland is a complete and utter f uc kwit - worst decision I have ever seen.

that was never a red card Pooly, Rolland ruined the game - it wasn't a spear, he went low and Clerc went up.
cant stand the bloody French - always get away with decisions, they are offside at every ruck and Rolland is a c ock

Lol...Chris!
I thought it was a fair call myself, awful tackle. Took him past 90' then lost control. Would have been a citing for final for def.

Pooly I think its what the Tongan's call a normal tackle...
I really can't stand Rolland, I think he's the worst ref in the world and he ruins games, he lets France live offside and Warburton should have given him a slap.

Without doubt spoiled the game but was a nasty tackle. Seem to remember Fritz getting sent off against Wasps for similar.

Yellow/red stupid by warburton either way. Rolland usually harsh to England. Happy days allez les blues

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4 homepage
I'm just recalling similar Steve. As soon as you take past 90' you're in trouble.
To me Warburton took him up and dropped him, landed on his neck and could have been nasty.
Stupid by Warburton, perhaps showing inexperience and wanting to put his mark down. I think it's a very fair call, you can't do those types of tackles and expect not get it in the neck.
Plenty in main boards think it's red, only ref opinion counts though I guess. Shows it was a close call if we disagree.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4 homepage
I only 'support' wales because my missus is Welsh - it used to be a case of not really knowing who I disliked more the French or the Welsh, happy memories...
Rolland is a k nob, complete and utter t wat - he normally screws England over every time he officiates (against) us. He should be suspended as he is borderline negligent. Welsh would have won this game by 10points.
Thing that gets to me is that the French are offside continuously, they infringe at the breakdown at every breakdown, and Rolland (the pr ick) lets them get away with it.
I dread to think how worked up I'd be if this was an England game - think a full blown hissy fit would be in full swing right now.

Clerc being so light didn't help. As soon as Warburton lifted him he flew up like a jet.
NZ citing didn't ban Umaga and Mealamu after they drove BOD into the ground. In the end Warburton had no choice but to drop him otherwise he'd have really hurt Clerc.
Want Wales to win now. Hook looking uncomfortable at 10

Can't see how it was a red - if you watch the replays Warburton went low and made a very good initial hit, he then slipped and combined with Clerc's momentum he went up in the air.
He didn't drive him down, drop him on his head and couldnt really have done much more to avoid the situation.
Be interesting what the ITV panel say.
I reckon one of them will call Rolland a w anker

"Empathy for the game"
"Warburton has had a clean comp"
"WC semi final"
All agree a dangerous tackle but seem to be bringing up points nothing to do with the fact it was a dump tackle and you're supposed to bring the man down. It looks awful at real speed and can see why he's off, it was a yellow and a half imo watching replays but can easily see red.
Prefer a French win anyway tbh, would have liked to have seen them do it with 15v15 but I imagine they'll take control now. Wales still playing well though.

Wasnt a dump tackle at all - he went up because Warburton made an awesome tackle, slipped when cotnact made, Clerc went up and went down safely. Wasnt driven into the ground, Warburton couldnt have avoided that.

at least he is getting involved and trying things unlike the rest of the Oz side.
I wouldn't have said McCaw has been superb at all. Hardly been involved. Jane though has been excellent.

McCaw has been everywhere, perhaps because I'm watching him.
His first kick to touch, 3 out on the full, missed tackles, dropped balls......he's making Slade look like Merthans!
C'mon Steve, Cooper is having a bit of stinker, he's pretty undefendable at the minute.

Cruden and Dagg been very good for AB's.
Not many Aussies can hold their hands up and say they are playing well here. Perhaps JOC and Ioane.
