Wales v Fiji Thread etc etc
First topic message reminder :
OK so we are now down to the last group game and a win would hopefully see us into the Quarters, by the time we play then SA would have played Samoa and we will know what result we nee.
We have now seen all the 30 man squad have a run out so what would be your starting 22 for Fiji. Heres mine:
P James (given Jenkins time off the bench)
H Bennett
A Jones
AWJ
L Charteris
R Jones (Rest Lydiate until quarters)
T Faletau
S Warburton
M Phillips
R Priestland
S Williams (if fit Brew if not)
J Roberts
J Davies (but would like to see Sc Williams and Roberts get some gametime)
G North
L Halfpenny
Jenkins, Burns, Davies, Powell, S Jones, L Wiiliams (Knoyle disappointed today), Sc Williams

Super handling by Wales there, loooovely try. Just great hands by Roberts, North and Priestland, love it!

aye those two will know each other's games really well Cymro, if I'm not mistakedn I think they used to play in the centre together for Wales U20's. (I could be wrong there, either way they've played for Llanelli and Scarlets together too)

Good hands Charteris. It's a long way down for him to pick it off his boot laces!

17-0 after a penalty kick from Rhys P. Keep it ticking over boys, that'll be nice.

Re: Wales v Fiji Thread etc etc
Hmmm that was dodgy from Byrne, didn't even look like he'd tried to tackle that Fijian. Anyway, they didn't get down the wing.

Re: Wales v Fiji Thread etc etc
Barnes is missing a few decisions for fiji, knock on from a kick by wales just outside their 22, belly flp into the ruck, a hand in the ruck blown as a knock on by fiji.
I see another tweet coming.

I don't like the way barnes is allowing Wales to ly over the ruck and play the ball.

Re: Wales v Fiji Thread etc etc
Ah but biltong I'm not liking how he's letting Fiji stay offside at some rucks and he's missed 2 high tackles at least already.
Safe to say, he's missing things for both sides.
Great breakout by Scott Williams but I so wish he'd passed to 1/2p!

yeah, absolutely, but the problem with the breakdown is the same we had with barnes against wales.

Oh no Bradley Davies injured....he took a knock earlier on though. Hope he's all right.
Here comes Alybongo if he's coming off. Not a bad replacement.

Forward pass for that try. Bad decision by ref. But well worked try. Feel sorry for Fiji there. However, I don't think it was racism.

That was an amazing try, I can hardly believe what I'm seeing, the passng and support play is brilliant!
on the replays actually one or two looked slightly forward, hmm, good try anyway

Tony johnson moaning there was another forward pass.
I think the NZ commentators are clearly siding with the pacific islanders on decisions etc.
Marshal does carry on a bit as well

Re: Wales v Fiji Thread etc etc
I'm not surprised Biltong! even the Welsh commentators on S4C aren't all that happy about it, they called it forward straight away.
Barnes is starting to miss a lot.
Hmmm, earlly sub of Bennett, maybe his hip is playing him up again. Burns on.

Re: Wales v Fiji Thread etc etc
I don't like it when TJ/refs miss stuff like that because some critics blame the players which isn't fair, and it puts a dampener on the try scored.
Yeah Davies should be replaced at HT.
Benny off and Lloyd Burns on.

Were seeing the Welsh commentators luckily, tell your lot Barnes has screwed Wales so many times he owes us as least a few favours!biltongbek wrote:Tony johnson moaning there was another forward pass.

Ah no Alyn, I don't want people to say Wales only won cause of Barnes. They've been playing very well and deserve credit.
