Replacements: D Hartley, A Corbisiero, T Palmer, N Easter, R Wigglesworth, T Flood, M Banahan.
Scotland team: C Paterson; M Evans, J Ansbro, S Lamont, S Danielli; R Jackson, M Blair; A Jacobsen, R Ford, E Murray, R Gray, A Kellock (capt), A Strokosch , J Barclay, R Vernon.
Replacements: S Lawson, A Dickinson, N Hines, R Rennie, C Cusiter, D Parks, N De Luca.
Last 10 meetings
2011 England 22 - 16 Scotland
2010 Scotland 15 - 15 England
2009 England 26 - 12 Scotland
2008 Scotland 15 - 9 England
2007 England 42 - 20 Scotland
2006 Scotland 18 - 12 England
2005 England 43 - 22 Scotland
2004 Scotland 13 - 35 England
2003 England 40 - 9 Scotland
2002 Scotland 3 - 29 England
England 7 - Scotland 2 - Draw 1
England 273 pts - Scotland 143 pts
IMO on paper the Scots might as well start packing their bags, but I have a strange feeling they might just pull it off, Chris Paterson will have plenty of shots at goal if England continue getting penalised at the breakdown and we all know what that means, he very rarely misses unless his wearing cherry and White!
Or am I being silly?
RWC so far
England
Argentina 9 - 13 England
England 41 - 10 Georgia
England 67 - 3 Romania
England PF 121 pts - PA 22pts
Scotland
Scotland 34 - 24 Romania
Scotland 15 - 6 Georgia
Argentina 13 - 12 Scotland

so close from Wilco but just short and then Scotland swarming.
Eng just can't break them down enough to win today.

Scotland getting trounced up front now. They have to take points when they get into Englands half. Same old story, just no composure.

England have just been England. They concede too many penalties when put under pressure and Scotland have dominated the set piece and breakdown for most of the game.

Five minutes to go...Scotland have a penalty and have gone for the corner.
Wilko is off. Arm injury by the looks.
Oh sheeeet! If a Scottish player had got that, sure try.

A kick to the corner is admitting defeat? Great Flip logic.

I was just about to say that this could be the first time in history a 3 point defeat counts as "win ugly" - then Ashton saves the day!

Well played England. Scotland have themselves to blame again. Poor execution and descision making in Englands half.

It's a shame Scotland butchered the two opportunities they had for tries. They could've been well ahead.

More bothered about Wilko being injured than dropped
I thought he had a pretty good game apart from the obvious missed early kicks. Came back with a couple of crucial ones and his open play and defense was very good

FT 16 - 12.
Well it wasn't the assumed drubbing - did I read someone said England by 17?
Well done both sides.

Even Tuilagi thinks so.
In every single interview he's ever given (that I've seen) he's come across really decent and modest. Like a bit of a laugh but that's it

Unlucky Scotland. It was a very tough group and there's a fine line between winning and losing at this level. Time to go away and build for the 6N.

Well played England, they stuck it out and took their one chance at a try, fair play
Heartbreaking for Scotland, 2 weeks in a row now they've had chances to win and have just come up short. horrible

He's just too cocky for me - needs to settle down a bit. Comes across as very immature. Can't win or lose gracefully. And I'd say that even if he played for Wales as well.

Yeah i feel for Scotland.
If eng had kicked well they'd never have been given that 9 point margin and the hope of victory but they did and it was cruelly stolen from them.
