Fresh thread. Morning!
Forget what we did to the Aussies (well don't forget it, it was awesome just put it to one side). Still work required. Wales looking good against Fiji so let's hope we're up by halftime so we can start resting the more breakable players. Say a prayer for young Jonny as well should we need his kicking boots.

Re: Ireland vs Italy match thread
Great try!
Classic game from us so far- we just weathered the storm in the first 40, they threw everything they had at us and then in the second 40 we've come out swinging!
Now we need to keep doing what we're doing and in no way slack off or drop our intensity. Make them play in their own half if we can.

All eyes on Cronin
This is excellent now from Ireland.
What a leader O'Connell is. He's been immense.

Hehe, now the ITV commentator is having a dig at Nick Mallets comments on the scrum as Mike Ross squeezes out another penalty
Wouldn't rule their scrum out at all.
Oh dear, Rory Best's collarbone? Could be bad.

Re: Ireland vs Italy match thread
oh yeah dig at the Italian scrum now that Castro's been off. Of course they aren't going to be as good without him
Not good news on Best it would seem. Bad for Ireland, he's been one of your standout players.

It's a pity we'll have to meet so early. A Wales Ireland final would be some spectacle.

I'd say Wales-Ireland quarter-final will be a spectacle! Wrong decision from BOD to chip that ball.

Not at all. The Irish player ran at Parisse, who is not obliged to move out of the way. All Parisse did was raise his arm in protection. The Irish player then milks it somewhat.
