Fresh thread. Morning!
Forget what we did to the Aussies (well don't forget it, it was awesome just put it to one side). Still work required. Wales looking good against Fiji so let's hope we're up by halftime so we can start resting the more breakable players. Say a prayer for young Jonny as well should we need his kicking boots.

Re: Ireland vs Italy match thread
ooo c'mon Mirco, have your kicking boots on. (I know I want Ireland to win, but honestly how great would it be for Italy? I do love them as a rugby team)
awww and he got it! fair play to him still for being the only Italian who has put their hand up for the kicking duty.

Re: Ireland vs Italy match thread
I think we're in serious trouble if we keep playing like this. Far too sloppy whereas Italy look so controlled.

Thats better from ROG, standing a bit flatter and using the inside runners off his shoulder.

No way. Italy are miles better than Fiji on current form. I'd say this Italy side would be on par with Scotland and Argentina.

Ireland need to start running straight and not crabbing across the field.

Re: Ireland vs Italy match thread
One of those games where you don't really want either side to lose!
Cracking game so far. Absolutely loving the battle in the tight.
Ireland have the best loose forward unit in the NH, I reckon.

Masi still continuing his great form from the 6N's.
Italy not looking too bad at all, will they be able to take their point scoring chances though?

Italians getting stuck into Healys eyes there. Store it up and give it to them in the next scrum.

Re: Ireland vs Italy match thread
ooo would have to see that replay again to see if that was intentional or not.
Ah I don't think it was, but really stupid to grab someone around the face. Close call really. Understandable reaction from Healy there.

Will the Italian get cited for that? Healy's not long had an injury to his eye socket as well.

Re: Ireland vs Italy match thread
maybe Cari, but the Italian player wasn't even looking, I honestly don't think that was intentional. The slow mo replay doesn't look good at all though. Up to the citing commissioner now.

Mate it was clealry deliberate, llook at the anglke of his had whist the other hand holds the head in place. The fingers are pinching at his eyes. You wont get a clearer one that that. This wasnt just a case of a player trying to get a grip and cathching the players face like the one on Haskell

Re: Ireland vs Italy match thread
It was deliberate he has no defence, It's the most cowardly act performed on a rugby field and it needs to be eradicated.
