Re: 2nd ODI ratings
Cook - 1: got out to his bread and butter shot, and didn't captain that well either (though not really his fault as bowling and fielding was poor at best). Took a good catch. Is the tiredness affecting him too?
Kieswetter - 1: poor shot to get out, again. Kept well but needs runs or his place could be under threat.
Trott - 4: got a good (and rapid) start but couldn't go on. Dropped an easy catch so loses one for that.
KP - 6: got a start, looked in good touch, hit two lovely sixes, then got himself out.
Bopara - 5: got a start, got out. Not the best fielder, and bowling was ineffective.
Bairstow - 6: got a start, got out. Anyone see a pattern developing here?
Patel - 5: got a start, got out (though was a bit unlucky as ball kept low). Fitness levels still questionable: he looked knackered as he came off after his innings, and fielded badly. Bowling fairly rubbish.
Bresnan - 6: dreadful shot to get out, but picked up the only two wickets. Bowled with heart despite looking exhausted.
Swann - 2: couldn't deliver for once. Looked incredibly jaded and wasn't doing anything much with the ball, bowled too short. Dropped a catch and at one stage stopped the ball with his foot. Needs a rest.
Finn - 4: was unlucky in his first spell as he kept beating the edge or finding it only for the ball to go for four. Was able to summon up 93 mph in his third spell so good energy. Looks reasonably competent with the bat.
Dernbach - 2: still not convinced by him in the 50 over game. No great threat, and India seemed to play his slower ball well which is worrying. Needs serious work on his running between the wickets too.
Overall: Too many starts with the bat (five guys got past 30, not one got to 50), and looked really tired and/or disinterested in the field and with the ball. Guys like Swann, Bresnan, possibly Trott too need a break.

Re: 2nd ODI ratings
They were generous as well
Cook got marked up for captaincy
Craig as he's the keeper
Trott was dire
Deadweight was dire
NoHopara was dire
Bairstow put in a good little innings and showed some intent
Samit was probably our best batsman

Re: 2nd ODI ratings
Trott and Pietersen were actually very good right up until they got out. Both worth a 7, in my opinion. Would have given them an 8 had they got 60-80.
