cricket section
its really good to see that the cricket section has really taken off. I remeber at the start when there was only a handful of us, and now there's so many of us making a lot of posts and threads, good to see the cricket section, and the site going from strength to strength everyday

Re: cricket section
Amen to that, cricketfan, we've got a great bunch of knowledgeable posters, and it's nice to have some Indian, Kiwi, Saffer and Aus fans around now and again, too.
Re: cricket section
it has certainly been a very long and busy day on the cricket section today!

Re: cricket section
I like the fact we get plenty of debate on here, but it stays civil (most of the time).

Re: cricket section
just a thought, you dont have to agree..
For a test series or a odi series that is on. Instead of making a thread about every game, could we not make a thread for the whole series, and sticky it for the whole time the series is on, it means less threads are made, and all the information is in one thread?.....

Re: cricket section
I think it's probably better to have individual threads, so that the debate is concentrated on that match, and also so that the thread doesn't become like 15 pages long, which can slow the site down for some people, and particularly for those using their mobiles.
Re: cricket section
I only ever posted twice on the old 606. But always looked at the cricket section, which i thought was very good. The only thing that irked me was the constant Pakistan/India slanging match, of which a lot was not about cricket debate, it was more to do with politics. Although some of it amused me, it had nothing to do with cricket.
This site seems to be moderated in such a way, that you simply only should be talking about cricket.
Well done, this site.

Re: cricket section
yes it's a good site.....much more on topic and knowldegable posters than the bbc 606.
I have come across only one rather abusive and off-topic poster so far.
So largely much better

LOL Crricketfan90, that made me laugh. You can only say what you think. Right or wrong, they are your opinions. No one will ever agree 100% all the time, obviously that is what makes these posts interesting.
With me, after some replies from my posts, i am always willing to change my mind on certain things because a lot of the guys talk sense with their reasoning, just not on my Test wicket-keepers though

Re: cricket section
Quick update
Just a reminder to get your Barrington Sports caption competition entries in prior to 9am Wednesday, fellas, when the winner will be chosen by the Barrington Sports team.
Thanks for the entries thus far, some very amusing captions, and likewise thanks for the continued support of the partnerships we have in place.
I'll be sending a blanket PM out to the cricket user group toward the end of the week to explain a couple of things about the Barrington Sports 'advertorial' section that will likely go live around this coming weekend.
