You must be one handsome barsteward, Mav.
Nah, she is rough, but then she must have some special qualities to pt up with his smugness, fair enough he's got reason to be smug, but I'd never tire of punching his face, it's in the same league of annoyingness as Heston Blumenthals, Ricky Gervais and Davina McCall.
She is a major let down, she has a proper baw face... but I bet you and Mav would, and sober too.
Nah, she's quite fat Red. You'd think being the wife of an international superstar she might look after herself a bit better.

Like I said, a major let down. Boiler is just a bit strong, Subo is a boiler. Mrs Federer, well she is a world apart from a Subo. She did have twins in 2009 though, she was a tennis pro herself so it's not like she lacks a work ethic. It would be interesting to see a recent pic.

I must be weird or something as I think she is really very attractive and would doubt many of us will have been lucky enough to sleep with a woman as hot as she is. She has a very interesting face which I think will still look great when she is much older.
Out of interest who do super and mav think are hot? and not the typical choices that you see in FHM.

MAC, I don't deny that when she was a player she was quite a tidy proposition, however now she has let herself go DRASTICALLY, but it is at least one thing which could wipe the smug smile from feds face.
As for what I would rate, well I don't particularly have a type that you might see in the media as they are too route one and 'supposed' to be regarded as good looking, even though they all look the same and are dreadfully contrived.
I do have a penchant for Kari Byron though. Generally though I regard the every day woman that you might see in the street of any European city as being more attractive than the contrived and scrubbery looks of some talentless munter like Cheryl Cole because its natural.

Re: Have you played with anybody famous?????
Mac in all honesty, I can say I really cannot see where your coming from as thinking we'd be lucky to be with someone as HOT. IMO she is far from being hot,. As for FHM or NUTS or any of those magazines, you'll never see me pick one up as there full of airbrushed airheads who think the way to make a career is to let a host of males think their bimbos who are only good at getting their bangers out.
Most women in the spotlight tend to be relatively average looking who were meant to find uber attractive because the media dictates it by showing them im something revealing or airbrushing out their natural blemishes (which would make them look better). SR mention Cheryl Cole, now if there was an overrated women award she'd win hands down (you can take the chav out town, but you can't take the chav out of the woman).
I too don't have a type easily proven if you were to see my history of lady friends, they've been blonde, brunette, dark hair, fair skinned, dark skinned tall and short. It just happens to be if I find them attractive then thats good enough for me don't need to pidgeon hole a specific type never understood why some men do. I also would say i'm more likely to see a far more attractive woman in my working day or trip to the pub than I am on the TV and movie screens.
If you said I had to choose a famous lady, then someone like Anne Hathaway or Kate Beckinsale wouldn't be a bad shout. But in the world of fake boobs, fake smiles and botox then count any of those falsies out and give me a non famous lady that has no surgery and has what can simply be natural beauty without the need for a ton of slap and chisel to remove that makeup at the end of a date.

hmmmmmmmmm.
I always thought that beauty came from within the person.
I suppose some of you guys would be happy with a painted face who was as thick as a brick. I find it all very sad and very shallow

Where did I say they had to be a painted face and thick as a brick.
I clearly said in my last post I can't stand that, and that by airbrushing out blemishes they take away from someones natural beauty. As for thick, if I cannot hold an intellectual conversation with a woman our date would last no more than 5mins. I think your confusing things here Doon. The first thing that will cause any attraction to a lady or man if that way inclined if you don't already know them is the way they look and carry themselves.
Mrs Mav for example I would class as a highly beautiful lady and have yet to find a celeb I would say is even on Par with her, she is also one of the most intelligant individuals you could wish to meet both from a conversational persepective and academic point of view higlighted by her CV, this allied with the fact she balances all of this with being a fantastic mother to our children she really is what people would see as the ideal woman and I have many times been told is out of my league and would be inclined to agree,.

Ironically Doon, there was a programme on last nighton ITV I think it was about Ecclestons squeeze, only caught fleeting glimpses of the broadcast, but what a loathesome and vile individual. Even if she was the most stunning woman on this earth he personality and gold digging which knew no boundaries makes her the ugliest and mot vile woman on this planet.
The thought of turning that relationship on its head makes me shudder

If Federer is happy and loved his wife, and he appears to be very happy and to love her, then he had the perfect woman.....for him.
Finding a beautiful and intelligent woman is just box ticking, it's how the relationship works for both parties that matters.

Jimmy Tarbuck - thoroughly miserable, a lard-arse who thought he was Tiger Woods.
Sometimes get to play my course with a lad who played The Open in 2009, has played Challenge Tour and a few European Tour Events. Not famous, but I do find it fascinating to see how the course should be played! Try to pick up a few tips on the way round too.
Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy Tarbuck's company. He is a member at my club and only have good things to say about the times I have played with him. Found him to be great company and is a very well respected member of the club.
At my other club there are a few other famous members. Ant and Dec (not sure if that is a spouse membership) and Ben Shepherd to name a few but they dont really mix with the other members.

I hate it when people have no respect for club rules so am disappointed to hear that about him.
Seems too many of these so called celebs feel they are above the rules!!

For those of you who remember Laura Baugh, here is an interview from seven years ago.
For those of you who don't remember Laura Baugh, you might find it a cautionary tale on the perils of fame and addiction.
I also think she's the answer to the well-known triva question: Which LPGA Touring Pro was married to a British Amataeur Champion? Twice??

Am I right in thinking that Jimmy Tarbuck used to play off about 2 and harboured ambitions of getting down low enough to make the Surrey county team?
Not even close off 2, I would have thought more like +2 for the Surrey team, some very strong players in that county.

Thanks for digging that out kwini. Not yer everday interview! What an extraordinary life she's had. You couldn't make it up. Begs the question though ... I'm now wondering if her addictive personality was created by fame or perhaps by her childhood home circumstances?
Damn IMG for luring her away from the stellar education she would have received at Stanford though.

Not let another thread degenerate into a discussion worthy of Zoo readers but Baugh is pretty hot.
And very intelligent by the sounds of it, 4.0 at 15 and an offer from Stamford. Odd that IMG's biggest ever asset attended a school without a golf program a generation before.
Anyway great interview and thanks for the link kwini
Wait a second it she is looking for love and it turns out her and tiger both went for morning coffee in perkins.......................

Re: Have you played with anybody famous?????
Well, I'm honestly not sure if I have or not, I say that because I played the Ailsa Course for my Birthday a few years ago, think it was 2005, apart from ex Rangers goalie Peter McCloy being the starter I was paired with an American Couple and a young Northern Irish lad who was about 14/15, he had a local caddy and went round in 72 (which he wasn't overly impressed with). He had a crew cut rather than big mess of hair. I thought nothing of it at the time although I do remember being impressed with his swing. I never even asked the guys name, you know what it's like, you get introduced on the 1st Tee and by halfway up the 1st fairway you're thinking...what are their names again? I do wonder now though...did I actually get to play a round with a future world number 1?

Great story JAS.
What did you play off at the time and what was your score round the course?
I'm pretty sure it's around about that time he was scratch or better.
RE: future #1, can see an interesting battle between he, Donald and Kaymer over the next few years.

Re: Have you played with anybody famous?????
I was a ropey 12 at the time and shot 90. The American bloke was about the same but his Mrs bless her went in at least 1 bunker on every hole up to and including the 6th. She picked up and just walked after that.
I remember walking off the 9th green proud of the fact that I'd got to the turn with the same ball, you can just guess what happened on the 10th tee....yep, 2 big dirty hooks into the firth of Clyde!!
I really have no idea if it was Rory or not in our group but as well as the swing I also remember my late Mrs (she caddied for me) remarking on the young lads concentration and how he kept calm ( which was a dig at my volatile reactions to a bad shot).

Played with a few of the senior tour guys DJ Russel,Jim Rhodes,Bob Larrett,Wolstehome(unfortunately).
But -Robert Rock had the honour of playing his very first pro tournament with our group about 10 yrs ago and he was very impressive back then.
Super ball striking and a lot more about him than the average local pros.Nice fella too.

Saw Mick McCarthy on the course today, didn't play with him, and not sure if he's that famous, but takes you a bit by surprise to see a well known face on the course.

I see England beat (fluked a win against a lacklustre) Spain, I suppose they'll win the Euro's now.
Did you see Kenny Millers goal last night? If that had been Rooney he'd have been knighted.

Probably won't win them but you have to enjoy the good results when the come along. All a bit against the run of play but was always gonna be like that.
Haven't seen Millers goal, will keep an eye out.

It's a good result, and I actually don't mind England as a team/nation, it's just how they have smoke continually blown up their backsides by a sycophantic and unrealistic media despite being pretty average.
Millers goal was Berkampesque.

It wasn't a fantastic performance but you can only beat what's in front of you. I thought Spain could have stepped it up but they made some changes at half time that they probably wouldn't have done if it was a real competitive match. Let's hope the bandwagon doesn't get too far.
Super, I hope I get to see Miller's wonder goal

Super - you are spot on about it being the media who blow smoke up the nation's ass when England get a good result. It drives the English as mad as it does the other home nations'.
As for today, I thought Spain were disappointing but the England team looked keen and more "up for it" than I've seen for a while. I watched it in a crowded pub so may have missed some of the finer points as compared to sitting and watching in a more concentrated fashion - but I thought they were worth the win today. Never really been a big fan of Scott Parker before but he certainly deserved this MOTM award today and "fat Frank" did himself no harm either.
No "we'll win the Euros next year" from me, but as 1GG says you can only beat the side in front of you - a lacklustre England today would still have lost against a poor Spanish side - they looked today as if they WANTED to do well

No-one's mentioned Lescott on here; he played superbly, pick of a solid back-four effort.
Still not sure where the killer pass is going to come from until Rooney is back, let alone the goals.

You are right about Lescott, Kwini - excellent game
You want killer passes and goals in Rooney's absense? I feel there there goals in Bent and Walcott - and there is always Andy Carroll to come in. Wilshire will make a big difference when he returns too

Re: Have you played with anybody famous?????
Lescott played well agreed.
Jo Hart did well to maintain concentration for 90minutes where he was relatively quiet but did everything asked of him when called upon.
I also think Scott Parker was exceptional in front of the back four, a most underrated position on the pitch but he was the engine room today and made things tick with his interceptions, tackles and short funtional passes.
Think if you stick Wilshire in with him and you have a superb centre mid. Problem is the rest of the team forward of there Shrek (Rooney included)

I actually met Mick McCarthy many years ago when he was a Barnsley player, good bloke with no airs or graces. Best centre half I saw play live and that was when he was in the old first division.

Davie we weren't worth the win. Although a decent performance from England , Spain still managed 21 shots on goal, on another night it could have been 3 or 4 nil
