Re: Quiz Questions
OK - not sure how best to phrase this one as there may be other answers but I'm thinking of an (ex) sportsman whose name (first name and surname) is made up entirely of alternating vowels and consonants. Believed to be the longest name of a "famous" person to have this feature
Who am I thinking of? (clue, there are 15 letters in all)

There was an Ethiopian long-distance runner called Abebe Bikila. I know that's not who you're thinking of, but do I get half a point for him?

Re: Quiz Questions
A good call dreamer... there must be quite a few species of penguin there.
However this place also has the richest diversity of plants and animals per sqaure km... but no native mammals.
It also is home to the largest pigeon, the largest gecko, the largest skink (thought to be extinct be re-discovered in 2003)

Re: Quiz Questions
* I've just stumbled upon a contradictory answer but I think I'll go with Sir David Attenborough's claim (I heard it on his Life series).
The other clues are definitely undisputed though.

That's what Wiki says... but the answer according to SDA is also an island (plus a few other smaller ones) in that part of the world as well.

Re: Quiz Questions
There's not a lot out there breaker just the Pacific Islands, The Solomons, Samoa, Vanuatu? I would have thought they were all too small to have the highest number of anything.
Fiji, Tonga - how could I forget them?!
