Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
Okay so for the few of you that have actually pre-ordered it from amazon.co.uk, who among you have pre-ordered it for ps3, cause basically i really want the dynamic theme that amazon.co.uk were offering if you pre-ordered it for ps3, have done my research and apparently they should have email you the codes no later than the 16th nov, i'd be willing to buy it off ya for up to £5 via paypal or something, if your not up to selling me your code then giving me a used one will do, will just have to ring up ubisoft and start crying my eyes out lol
Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
If you are going to buy it, can you do so through the 606v2 link please as we get a commission payment

Erm I never said I actually bought it from amazon, i'm asking for people that already have bought it, well more to the point i'm asking for people who have pre-ordered it on ps3 because they are the only people now who will have that code which i so desire.

and the animus edition for revelations

No i cant buy the theme, if you had read the rest of this topic you would see where i said how this theme is EXCLUSIVE to customers who pre-ordered the game on ps3 from amazon.co.uk
Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
Gregers wrote:I wont get it til xmas Pacman, and I believe you can get the theme from uplay...
different theme i did think that at first though, i thought buying that would unlock the "ACR Dynamic Playstation Theme" in the game options but no just a normal theme
though it didnt only cost 10 uPlay points so not a complete loss seeing as i had loads to begin with to buy other revelation rewards.
though you may be able to help me now plz i beg this assassins creed nutter needs your help
you say you pre-ordered it on ps3, did you pre-order from amazon.co.uk cause if you did and if you were maybe willing to sell it to me you should have the email with the code it in already
Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
ok sure its an Exclusive now but im sure they will put it on the store after a few months it happens with every game that says exclusive

either someone helps me or i do hope it does become "un-exclusive"
though heres my "beef" about it
there is an option in the main game start up menu where you click on extras then assassins creed shop and thats wheres it says "ACR Dynamic Playstation Theme"
so naturally you think ahh yeah cool but clicking on it does nothing, it was only through 2 nights of searching the internet i found out it was exclusive to amazon ARGH!!
and out of everyone that plays this game in the uk what percentage of people pre-ordered it from amazon.co.uk, really, high enough for ubisoft to put it in the game and let others who have not got the code see not be able to access it, cheers ubisoft kick the assassins creed hardcore fans in the face why dont ya lol
they should have not put it there and just do what they normally do whereby you are given a code then have to click on exclusive content section in the menu then enter it there and get your bonus stuff

It'll be worth the wait trust me single and multi-player.
Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
SuperiorPacMan, don't know if you've seen but the new version of Soul Blade has Ezio as a player character.
Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
Hero, yes I do know and I remember seeing a trailer for it aswell, not the game but Ezio in the game, cant remember where i saw i though
Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
never played any of these games dont know why never taked my fancy, it is all stealth? never liked metal gear solid because of that reason. more of a goldeneye kind of guy running out into a middle of a crowd with my trusty ak47 and spraying them all down!
anyway seen on play the second i think for 8 quid (game of the year edition) will it suit someone with no patience for stealth? and if im doing it will i need to do the first one first?

I think the one thing that can't be leveled at AC is that it has anything to do with stealth beyond a very tenuous link. Your Goldeneye example could be easily applied to AC with no trouble just exchange the guns for swords.

Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
thats ok then for some reason i had it in my head it was like tenchu, never even had a look at the games despite the hype. then again im still to play a modern warfare (thats mainly becuase im not a online player)

Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
Nah not like Tenchu which rewarded you for stealth in many ways, while AC only has the tenuous stealth tag as it's something you often link to the term assassins.
For the most part its just a action based mission scenario which revolves around a direct approach and conflict model.

Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
cheers sounds more like my cup of tea, is it a running story through all of the games or could i pick up say the second and jump right in? strangely enough the second is still cheaper than the first

Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
I think the games stand alone but there's a running historical link running through them all which will give you a wider understanding if you play them in order. You can play them as individual games as far as I'm concerned.
I will say I've never played through them to complete the stories, more just a delve in to see if the mechanics are up to what I want scenario. So you may get others that are adamant that you should play them in order for a fuller experience.

coming from someone who has played them all since they came out, i would say its a running story, great story hence why i bought the animus edition for revelations so i could read the 256 page encyclopaedia and find out more things about the world of assassins creed
and heres a tip
if you have a ps3 buy assassins creed revelations normal edition using the link near the top of this page
and it actually includes on the disk assassins creed 1
all ya need to is insert the disk then it installs as a full game and ta da
and if it is ps3 then i have a code whereby you can get 30% off of assassins creed 2 and brotherhood on ps3 (it was a free code i got with the animus edition, am unaware if it comes with other editions)

Possible spoilers
In previous AC games there wasn't really any consequences for your notoriety / templar awareness going 100%, you could run around using "your goldeneye example" and easily reduce it afterwards with no repercussions
In this game there are consequences if you don't reduce notoriety / templar awareness straight away, that's all I am saying. And so far in my story mode it has definitely made for a slightly different style of gameplay, in terms of trying not to be spotted on rooftops and not to gain notoriety / templar awareness for silly reasons.
Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
The consequences are easily enough countered and the whole aspect of the repercussions of a high rep are a somewhat baffling addition by Ubisoft.
In the end it's the same bland combat model with a little sub game added into the mix, there's still little or no actual what I'd consider stealth (Thief) mechanics or careful planning needed.
It's a successful model for them so why fix what's obviously making you tons of cash.

Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
I do agree that it is the same "bland combat model", was merely stating that now there is an actual consequence, some may be able to deal with the consequence and some may not.
Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations
They are good games but I'm not a fan of them really.
If you do have future agreements with Amazon on other games I would be more then happy to buy it from your link rather then give my money to the fat cats of HMV and Gamestation.

DLC already? Oh come on Ubi!
£3.99 for 4 multiplayer characters and an improved deathmatch mode. Surely that should have been free dlc or just included originally!

I wont be bothering with that lol
Hardly worth it tbh. Though i'm making good progress with the story mode considering the hours I manage to get in with it.
The missions with altair are pretty good.
