Breaking news: Chisora v Helenius - December 3rd
This will be for the EBU title.
Chisora said:
"I want the two brothers. We've got some unfinished business and I want them right now," he stated.
"I need a better challenge. I like to fight fighters. I lost my titles but I'm coming back and I need a big fight.”
Could this be a step too far too soon for Del?

Certainly will be if he turns up at the ridiculous weight of 261 lb again; it's hard to win a fight at European title level if you're only capable of fighting for thirty seconds of each round.
I was so, so disappointed with Chisora last time out, on all levels. I actually feel he's a superior talent to Fury and most other British Heavyweights, but he seems to be severely lacking in dedication and drive. I don't particularly rate his chances here; he seems to have stagnated since beating Williams, particularly in terms of defence - and Helenius can bang a bit.
I think Helenius stops him late on.

If he turns up in shape as he did against Sexton, then he could make it quite interesting.
If he turns up looking like he did against Fury, he's going to get KTFO.

Here is Del Boy arriving at the press conference. Looks like he has shed a few pounds since the Fury fight...

Well he did scale in at 241 for the fight on Sat which is 20lb less then what he weighed against Fury, there maybe some hope!

He struggles against bigger men with a jab. Helenius' jab isn't for the ages - but it should probably be enough to see off Chisora.
Safe bet on the big fin - but Chisora always has a chance.
However - if I had to pick today - I'd say he isn't dynamic enough to beat Helenius.

Would like to see Fury challenge himself like this in a fight or two, an in shape fired up Chisora could get a result but i doubt it.

Helenius LKO. Agree with GG, Fury needs to be stepping up to this level. Having the humility to say you're not ready for Kbros is fine, but he should be going for decent Euro level fights (the Irish-Cuban being my top pick).

wow, fair play to him.
Ive just checked and he is #5 heavyweight in ring mag.
this could have him completely leap frog fury as far as world rankings go.
but im with most others, i think it'll be a step too far.

chisora taking a fight like this makes me think i was quick to judge him on the fury performance. he claimed he had a hernia which seriously hampered his training. i was doubtfull at first but looking back maybe he was telling the truth. i think him fury and price are britans best hope, but as price isnt fighting no where near often enough my bet is on chisora or fury, fury is working his way up by fighting often and improving his level of opposition gradually, but chisora has had fights with wlad (x2), rogan and larry (whatever his name is)- so he has been unlucky. taking on a fighter like helenius, who is a serious world contender proves chisora's deterimation to actually make a genuine go at becoming world champion.

eddy when did chisora take on wlad twice.
ive never been 100% sold on chisora dont think hes got it and helenius is better than fury but chisora in good shape is an uknown quantity so you never know.

Good job Del boy didnt turn up for Wlad looking like he did against Fury though. That would of been a massacre
He did look good at one point but if you cant beat Fury how is he expecting to nail a Klits bro fight?

When was the last time you saw a boxer lose because he just wasn't good enough?
He thought that if he just landed the overhand right - he'd win. He was wrong.
He has struggled against people with average jabs in the past. Fury was physically imposing with a good enough jab to punish him. Helenius? Helenius has a jab. And was able to deal with Peter's power - a Peter who came in to fight in not-too-atrocious shape.
Does Chisora do anything better than Peter?

Eat, talk shyte.
Agree about talking nonsense. However - eat?
- Spoiler:
Not sure I agree about that.
*Correction. Wherever I said Peter wasn't in too bad shape for the Helenius fight, I was badly wrong.

Ofh dear. Looks like Chisora is being fed as a gatekeeper for up coming heavies when he was only recently one himself. I suppose it's a deterrent to heavyweight prospects out there who choose to do their training in Greggs.

he has been scheduled to fight him twice, the first time he pulled out with a injury, then they made it again, but wlad instead fought haye.
i dont think helenius was that impressive last time out against liakhovich- he was down on the scorecards when he got the KO, and was been beaten to the jab more often than not. if chisora is his old busy self and can take furys best punchs for 12 rounds then he stands a half decent chance. dont forget very nearly had fury out of there early, and looked the much better fighter for the first 4 rounds

He was, at best, 2-2 after 4 rounds. More likely 3-1 down.
If Chisora can get inside and rush Helenius' work - he certainly has a chance. I don't think, however, that he has yet showed us evidence he can do that. He was struggling against Sexton (fight 1, not fight 2) not all that long ago, remember.
