Yep in herts not canada but would love to go to that part of the world at some point. I went by a few different names on 606 but it was St Albans towards the end.

Mac/Goldwolf, Choclate bars depend on the occasion for me, On the golf course it is a Snickers everytime but at home watching the telly (Especially around xmas) is a toblerone. Not really a chocolate bar you can eat on the move anyway

I've posted a couple of times on here but read most days. Think its about time I started throwing my opinion around.

Handicap - 28 (In my head Im single figures!!)
Club - Castle Barna - Offaly, Ireland
Favorite Course - (That I've played) Palmerstown House
Course I would most like to play but haven't - Valhalla / Augusta
Favorite Architect - None yet
Favorite Player - Don't have one but enjoy watching Harrington and all the usuals... Westwood, McIlroy etc. Alexander Noren is one that I like keeping an eye out for and I have no doubt he'll be a major winner in the next few years.
Least liked - Keegan Bradley. I have no reason to dislike him except the way he keeps twirling his club annoys me. Hunter Mayhan annoys me a bit but just because of his horse face!
606 Nemesis - None
606 Best Buddy - None
Favorite Major - US Open (I enjoy watching golf when bad sots are properly punished and you have to work very hard to break par.

Length of time playing - 3 Years on and off. This has been my first year of regular playing and next year will be my first time where I sit down and plan the competitions I want to play. I intend to be down to 18 by the end of next season.

You'll have to give us some Ross Fisher insight. He strikes the ball beautifully when he plays over here but has a terrible time around and on the greens - almost as if he has trouble figuring out the different grasses compared to what he's used to to.
I followed him last year and he had a caddie who talked his ear off - not sure that helped.

Hi incontinentia . I played Esker Hills on 27th December and really, really enjoyed the place. Excellent course and there are a couple of great photos in the clubhouse of Shane on the 18th of the Irish Open.

Iplayed esker hills last year summer in an open day 4 man team I was quite impressed. The place has a whiff of NAMA about it though doesnt it! It doesn't look like too many of the properties are in use!

links/hend085- esker hills was kind of a hidden gem, but has got more exposure since Shane's Irish open win. Love the terrain and yes there does seem to be a ghost estate in the middle of the course!

My reference was to an old 606 thread, discussing The Golfing Gods - inc Darth Fader, Jabbicus the Putt etc... Was obviously a little over-excited at seeing that one of these gods may now be gracing our board!

Ray, you have however reminded me of a clip I've seen on Youtube - "Darth Vader plays golf" (being one of a series of Star Wars themed ads for a US TV channel I think - Spike? or something like that). I don't often laugh out loud, but that had me (and my nephews) in stitches...

Not sure if I count as a new member (long time observer/ very infrequent poster) but here goes:

Favourite Course - Not played all that many but Tilden Park in San Fran

Course I would most like to play but haven't - Augusta is the obvious choice but I also would love a go at Loch Lomand

Favourite Architect - I have next to no knowledge of course architecture/architects

Favourite Player - Donald for his swing/ playing style and think he would be a good guy to have a beer with.

Least liked - Not a fan of Bubba (his comments at the French Open illustrating the fact that he's a bit of an ignoramus. My highlight of the RC was Donald quietly trouncing him in the singles)

Length of time playing - I could swing a club in my teens but only started playing regularly (twice a month) about 5 years ago. Really got the bug about 2 years ago and have now joined a club and play at least once a week (a lot more in the summer)
