The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Doug Howlett above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Aye, it's the "Culchie Cultural Experience" for us this weekend. Turnip soup, Turnip fricasse, Turnip & Cheese board, all washed down with Turp(nip)s
A "Nordie Expedition" would probably be over the weekend of 25th Feb (Ulster v O's), but Ireland are at 'home' to Italy that weekend too . Will also depend on the 'work' situation, as I am hoping to get back into freelancing in the New Year. Will keep you posted

I'd second that, but it's slap bang in the middle of lambing. I'm only managing Dublin for the 6 Nations because it's very early Feb.

Stag was saying he’ll probably be going to that game and have a ticket for me.

I seem to remember that Stag mentioned getting me a ticket for that match too on the weekend, will have to double check with him. Would love to get over for that one though.

Excellent! Ask Stag if he can get you onto the trip he arranged for us Dreamer. Open invite to any Welsh regs if he can.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Keith Earls has been included in the 29 strong Munster squad named this morning for the Heineken Cup round four game at Thomond Park Stadium on Sunday (12.45).
Earls came through the squad training session in UL yesterday and if he does likewise in tomorrow's run could be a contender for a place in the match day squad with Tony McGahan adding "We've to wait and see, he's been out of action for three to four weeks, so we'll have to see how he gets on in training for the rest of the week."
Munster Squad (29): Marcus Horan, Wian du Preez, Stephen Archer, John Hayes, BJ Botha, Denis Fogarty, Damien Varley, Donncha O'Callaghan, Donnacha Ryan, Paul O'Connell, Mick O'Driscoll, Ian Nagle, Billy Holland, Denis Leamy, Niall Ronan, James Coughlan, Tommy O'Donnell, Tomas O'Leary, Conor Murray, Ian Keatley, Ronan O'Gara, Johne Murphy, Denis Hurley, Scott Deasy, Simon Zebo, Will Chambers, Lifeimi Mafi, Danny Barnes, Keith Earls.
Bit of a big risk including Earls if you ask me.

I didn't think he was Thomond. Am sure Stag was mentioning that originally he was only meant to be due back start of January, and that was an optimistic view on it.

I would think that quite a few of the Irish regs have heard this before. It was on a cabbie's radio in Dubai; coincidentally when were heading to The Irish Village.

He played gealic before and after he played rugby.
He played for a club called Ballyboden St Enda’s, which (they say) is the largest sports club in the world in terms of active playing members. They’ve 90+ teams in all sports and at all age grades. It’s only a few miles from where I grew up.

Or maybe it says,
"No negative rugby allowed! Unless you play for the Scarlets in which case we will call it "Playing what's in front of you!" and praise you as the true keepers of the spirit of the game!"

I'm assuming she has broken her hip?
It really depends on how soon they can manage to operate. How is her health generally?

sorry to hear about your Gran prop. When my great grandma broke hers think she was in for a couple of weeks, but then, she loved all the attention of being in a hospital so that maybe accounted for her being in so long. Hopefully she'll be out before Christmas for you

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I think it all depends on what kind of replacement she needs prop, if it's the entire hip joint it could be a little longer. My mam had both of hers done a few years back and was only in for a week.
Sorry to here she fell, was only telling Amanda about my nana falling a few years back, she's got a panic alarm thing around her neck and I got a call that something happened. Had to sprint over to her place and found her in the garden, god love her. She was ok in the end though, turned 92 on Monday. Legend of a woman!

You are very lucky to have a sensible Nana Bikkies.
Often you discover that the panic alarm is sitting in the hall because they didn't want to damage it by taking it outside!
