606 Picks the England Team to play Scotland in 6Ns - Centres

Just the centres left to pick. I have included Hape and Tindall as they are in the EPS and have yet to retire from int. rugby. Allen, Joseph, Lowe and ordan Turner-Hall are injured with no news yet of comeback dates.

Went for Barritt and Tuilagi.

Tuilagi is a no brainer (no that is not a personal description!), he was one of the few players to perform well for England. Barritt has been playing very well and gets in ahead of Farrell because he has the starting 12 jersey for his club.

Same for me.
Tuilagi has the 13 jersey for now and England urgently need to find someone in the 12 spot. Barritt has earned his opportunity and, I have a sneaking suspicion, will do quite well. Only question for me is whether Barritt can distribute the ball well enough at the top level. But there is only one way to find out. I'd still also like to see Anthony Allen get a shot at some point, but Barritt is at the top of my list at the moment.

Manu nailed on, barritt is worth a punt as the form 12 in the prem. He'd bring a very strong defensive game and we can allow Farrell/36/May/Trinder to be eased in.

I went with Manu and Farrell.

Reasons for selecting Farrell over Barritt are twofold:

1) I am a hypocrite - I am happy for Manu to play but just feel that Barritt is a little too South African. As i said hypocrisy on my part.
2) I do quite like having a "2nd 5/8th". Increases the kicking options, gives Farrell a chance to ease into the set-up.

Having said all that I would prefer Barritt over a fit Allen.

Barrit-Tualagi with like of John Clarke, Trinder on the bench as cover.

Not quite true - JTH has an injury to the cheekbone and Quins have been clear since it happened that they expect him to be back for the Big Game on 27th. The match-up between him and Barritt / Farrell is one of the reasons to watch the game.

I expect Jordan to be in contention for an EPS or at least a Saxons spot - but I'd still have Barritt ahead of him for a starting place.

Apologies Poorfour - though none of the previews in todays papers suggested JTH was in contention to play.

I went for Farrell and Tuilagi.

Barritt and Tuilagi for me - feel it should have been our combination now for the last year. Would have Farrell in the EPS as back up IC and 3rd choice 10 and also Trindler in there as a different option to a more of a crash 13.

Although the center options have been seen as a weak area for england for a while I feel we now have the potential and younger players to be strong in this area. If Tindall or Hape make the EPS I think I will just cry

Clarke can't even get into the Saints first XV at the moment due to the form of Pisi. I think he could have been very good but the serious ankle injuries of a few years ago probably put paid to his international hopes. 28 now so I think that ship has sailed. As a Saints fan he is a great player to have at your club.

Allen and Tuilagi please. Failing that Barritt. JTH and Farrell in the squad. Maybe Barkley too, if Bath start being less awful. They were abject today
