scoring and rules:

Scoring and Rules

I will list fights 1 - 5, then back-up fights B1 and B2. This list will be definitive, when predicting please list fights in the same order.

If a fight is cancelled, postponed, or if a fighter drops out and is replaced, that fight is then void.

If a fight is declared void for any of the above reasons, it will be replaced by fight B1. A second void fight will be replaced by fight B2.

Predict the winner - 1 point

- Predict the method (KO*/Pts) - 1 point

- - Predict 'Early' or 'Late' (for KO) / 'Unanimous' or 'Majority/Split' (for Pts) - 1 point

Get all three above correct - 1 bonus point

Correctly predicting a draw (be it majority or even technical) will score you 10 points

A fight that is stopped early and referred to the judges cards (a Technical Decision) will count as a Points result, with 'Unanimous' or 'Majority/Split' obviously dependant upon the judges scores.

A fight stopped early and declared a Technical Draw will count as a draw.

No points will be awarded for a fight that starts but is then declared as a No Contest, such a fight will not be replaced by a back-up fight.

Any entries that are subsequently amended will be void.

Each season will be five weeks long.

There will be promotion and relegation between the two divisions, with the top five in the Championship replacing the bottom five in the Premiership at the end of each season.

If at the end of the season players are level on points, the player with the highest individual weekly score will take the higher placing.

Nobody is automatically entered into the Championship, anyone can enter, simply post your predictions to take part, using the format detailed below. You can enter at any point in the season, after all, 5 draws is 50 points which could win promotion in one week.

Any subsequent alteration to the result of a fight will not be taken into consideration, the initially given result will be used. This is to be known as the 'Hopkins/Dawson Rule'.

Important Announcement - 18/01/2012

Due to the general apathy now being shown towards the UCPL (only 8 out of the 20 Premiership players having bothered to predict so far) I have decided that this will be the final season.

For Season 4 I will disband the Premiership and Championship, we will just have one league of however many people want to join, it will be a 5 week charge to the line to take the final UCPL belt.
