- scoring and rules:
- Scoring and Rules
- I will list fights 1 - 5, then back-up fights B1 and B2. This list will be definitive, when predicting please list fights in the same order.
- If a fight is cancelled, postponed, or if a fighter drops out and is replaced, that fight is then void.
- If a fight is declared void for any of the above reasons, it will be replaced by fight B1. A second void fight will be replaced by fight B2.
- Predict the winner - 1 point
- - Predict the method (KO*/Pts) - 1 point
- - - Predict 'Early' or 'Late' (for KO) / 'Unanimous' or 'Majority/Split' (for Pts) - 1 point
- Get all three above correct - 1 bonus point
- Correctly predicting a draw (be it majority or even technical) will score you 10 points
- A fight that is stopped early and referred to the judges cards (a Technical Decision) will count as a Points result, with 'Unanimous' or 'Majority/Split' obviously dependant upon the judges scores.
- A fight stopped early and declared a Technical Draw will count as a draw.
- No points will be awarded for a fight that starts but is then declared as a No Contest, such a fight will not be replaced by a back-up fight.
- Any entries that are subsequently amended will be void.
- Each season will be five weeks long.
- There will be promotion and relegation between the two divisions, with the top five in the Championship replacing the bottom five in the Premiership at the end of each season.
- If at the end of the season players are level on points, the player with the highest individual weekly score will take the higher placing.
- Nobody is automatically entered into the Championship, anyone can enter, simply post your predictions to take part, using the format detailed below. You can enter at any point in the season, after all, 5 draws is 50 points which could win promotion in one week.
- Any subsequent alteration to the result of a fight will not be taken into consideration, the initially given result will be used. This is to be known as the 'Hopkins/Dawson Rule'.
Example Entry - Please use this format :
1. Paulie Maglinaggi - KO Early
2. Edwin Valero - Pts UD
3. Calvin Brock - KO Late
4. Jessie Vargas - Pts M/SD
5. Nigel Benn v. Chris Eubank - Draw
I think that just about covers it, any questions feel free to ask.

You finished behind someone who said bloke on the left UD every week, not too sure it is a cause to break out the bunting.

form is temporary - class is permanent. I came top last competition.
The only thing that you ever come first in is the line at the DSS I would guess.

Lets be fair, your 'record' was achieved in a 12 week season when the rest of the seasons were only 5 weeks long.

Did we get to vote on different matches or were we all scored the same way?
I was 1 point behind the winner of the Premiership.

Come back when you won the premiership...Your under more pressure in the premiership and this effects your predicting ability as your performance showed.

I was so nervous sometimes I could barely type. In fact I even typed something completely different from what I intended sometimes, all because of the crushing pressure of an online boxing prediction game.

Irrevelant union because we were so far behing compelling rich we had to take more risks in the last week...I guarantee you Rowley would not have finished first...At least Knowsit and coxy didn't bottle it this time.

Take risks?
Surely you predict what you think the result of the fight will be, how is that a risk?

So I was ahead of PBF this season and won a season as well. That obviously means, by his own measurement with Rowley, that PBF must bow before me as Supreme Champion!!!

Think the only thing that can be said with any certainty is my predictions would not have changed, irrespective of how much 'pressure' I was under.

Can you be sure?
Thinking back there were times that I was so sleep deprived I couldn't tell my Wladimir Klitschkos from my Ashley Theophanes. Well done for winning what is effectively an ironman contest.

Thinking back there were times that I was so sleep deprived I couldn't tell my Wladimir Klitschkos from my Ashley Theophanes. Well done for winning what is effectively an ironman contest.
He didn't win anything?

I didn't want to be the man to tell you that you're coming across as bitter.
We all know that predicting the exact same fights is completely different when you are a premiership competitor (even in lieu of Union changing the format).

No, are you going to run the league in his absence? You're the only one with the right credentials.

I just did some detective work, he hadn't logged on since January, but somewhat alarmingly logged on this morning and said something I didn't understand about wrestling.
