Curiously Jamie Roberts also appears later in the same magazine advertising a Panansonic Shaver. This guy is also seriously ripped.

Not surprised Jamie Roberts is advertising shavers, just look at all that chin to shave...

I train in a real old spit and sawdust gym around lads who take steroids for breakfast and im the third on strength in the gym with the other two ahead of me coming in over 19st.

Only events like Mr olympia etc have athletes with a body fat that low, and only for a very short period of time as it can be detrimental to health

Im no expert on body fat levels and nutrition but even i know you need to be below 16% to have your abs out and if you below 8% your like a pro bodybuilder on contest day who would be extremely weak and not uncommon for them to carry an oxygen tank when body fat is that low.

Yesterday I was arguing the case against a football fan that football was more gay. Now I feel my effort was totally wasted

yeah its fair to say i don't know his exact body fat but it was low i guess maybe 3% is over egging it, he definately eat shredded wheat for breakfast though (other brands are avaliable)

I heard he drank petrol, he's such a tank

Its actually a bit lower than 16% for a visible 6pack, more like ~10% for most people, lower for some higher for others. I'd say a lot of male athletes are in the 6-10% region depending on their sport. Pro bodybuilders on contest day are as low as 2%.

Joking aside I dont think complimenting a man on his physique is gay ( or that being gay is a problem for that matter). I just think its encouraging them to be ridiculous and worry aboutt that rather than any kind of useful goal, like their strength and fitness. Being a body builder or a male model takes different type of training and to focus on getting really "ripped" means youre doing things that will hold back your best gains elsewhere. The sort of workouts you see the poser patrol doing in the gym are not the workouts of an athlete.
Top level rugby players will of course be stacked with muscle and low on body fat ( unless they are Thomas Waldrom) but thats a consequence of their training not the goal in itself, and they could be more muscular and have lower body fat if that was their sole focus.

Its a bit like complimenting James Hook on the colour of his boots. Check if they stop him falling over when he does a sidestep.
