Yep 14-1!
Can't believe someone voted 1-1!
As for Gaitan...
Financially, it's a better deal for me. And while Gervinho and Afellay wont do the same as Gaitan, i'd like to think my tactical approach is what got me the win and if Gaitan wasn't there and Afellay was in his place, i'd like to think i'd have still won based on tactics and not on personnel.
Admittedly, if I knew the voting in hindsight i'd probably have turned the deal down, but I don't think it's as much of an error as Nick makes it out to be.

If it helps I was the only one not voting Gaitan to score...
I liked your tactics a lot, I thought they dealt with the threats of Juve very well.

The attacking midfielders in my squad;
Gervinho, Juan Iturbe, Diego Buonanotte, Henri Lansbury, Pablo Aimar, Niko Kranjcar, Sanchez Watt, Ibrahim Afellay, Brek Shea, Coutinho
When I only play 2/3 AM's per game, am I really going to miss Gaitan so much if my tactics work?
Iturbe - Coutinho - Shea - is far more exciting in my opinion.

LAZIO V PORTO
Good work by Lazio, they reduced the danger off the Porto wingers doubling up on them or jocking which slowed them down and less effective. The midfield battled well against De Rossi and Gerrard.
For me Lazio just edged this. Packing their defensive line out in an attempt to stop the wingers worked for most of the match and the times Porto did get in they did not take their chances, it was like they were expecting a lot of chances, not getting one for 10 mins and when it does come its a shock. With three at the back Lazio had cover for their wingbacks which mean dealing with Portos attacking fullbacks was not as hard as it could of been. Sissoko & Ledesma played well and the inclusion of Ben Arfa as an AM with two strikers provided a handful for Chiellini & Godin. Porto going very heavy on attack didnt cover all bases and slipped up. Dont expect this to happen again.
A stubborn Lazio with very clever tactics marking every single attacker from porto's side hold out for a draw after porto don't make possesion count.
Lazio hit first through the pace of Gabby, however Porto came into it and eventually took control
Lazio even as the home side have changed their tactics drastically to cope with the galacticos of Porto. They have gone with an extra defender and sacrificed one of their more attacking players to compensate. As a result they weren't too much of a threat to Porto going forward due to lack of support to Ben Arfa and the strikers. Porto lined up very strong with a 4-4-2, but with Hulk and Falcao against 3 defenders they were relying on the width of Bale and Reus. Porto were the more attacking team, but Lazio's defensive approach earned a 0-0.
Porto- Strong team, which is no surprise, 4-4-2 formation which comes as bit of a surprise. Well written tactics able to also keep the Lazio threat to a mininum. Lazio- Team looks good and tactics are well written, are able to keep the attacking threat of porto down to minimum
Fantastic game, game of the week IMO. End to end football, porto come out on top:
MALAGA VS ATLETICO
A ping pong match one attack then the other, the lack of bite in midfield from both sides helped acheive this result. Malaga struggling with no one to sit and Madrid asking thier attacking players to defend made it a high scoring match. Malaga got a lot of support from the wide positions and Madird through the centre.
Felt Barrios was too isolated and was asked to do too much by staying up top pretty much alone as Kalou was floating around too much. Kalou was the biggest threst when in the centre but should of supported and played with Barrios a lot more. With Salvio & Ramirez heading out to the flanks Malaga left a lot of space in the centre which Diego & Eriksen loved, but with five at the back for Malaga it pretty much turned into 1 on 1's with Athletico's attackers and Malagas back 5. Malaga swamped the wings with there fullbacks, Salvio & Ramirez which did get them an equliser. I do feel if they wernt as open in the centre they would of had the win, you cant give Diego & Eriksen space to play.
Malaga have got their tactics wrong this week by playing 5 at the back leaving their midfield exposed with just 3 in the middle leaving the forwards helpless and endlessly tracking back.
despite having 5 at the back defensively they had no help from midfield so Atletico had the run of midfield, however Malaga defense did their job
Malaga's formation proved to be the key, missing some defensive midfielders meant they had to take a different approach. I feel Pjanic in the middle was overwhelmed and this affected their attacking. It wasn't until they changed to 4-4-2 that something happened, even though Kovacic isn't a centre midfield, his presence was the spark they needed. Atletico were lined up well and were quite attacking, but the 5 at the back for Malaga was too much for them to break down consistently.
Malaga- Good starting line up with 2 decent strikers and a strong back 5. Good well written tactics and subs are made at right time. The changes to formation when subs are made are inspired. Athletico- great starting line up great use of subs, tactics are well written.
Athletico have too much attacking quality for Malaga
SPURS VS FIORENTINA
If Spurs were set up more strongly I feel they could have got something out of the game, Farfan and Vargas were not that great at tucking in and helping centrally but the pressure and attacking quality going forward was going to give in eventually. Spurs are good going forward but the defensive size costs them and Heskey is a no you might aswell play with one less player.
Spurs have a lot of strenght upfront which troubled Fiorentina at times. Spurs were very well organised at the back dealing with RVP, VDV & co. For me Fiorentina has their service to RVP and Cardozo cut off and there was no Plan B. Spur did well to stop Fiorentina and should of used their subs better and pushed for the win. Fiorentina's introduction of two youngsters who lack great experience didnt shout out going for the win, if anything it made it more comfortable for Spurs to deal with the wingers.
Farfan scored after taking advantage of a lapse in concentration from the spurs LB
Spurs young 2 midfielders did well but eventually became un done by Fiorentinas quality
Fiorentina were very attacking and as the away side it was a bold move, Van Der Vaart supporting Van Persie and Cardozo upfront. I do feel they left themselves very open to counter attacking, and this has cost them the win in this open game. Fernando did his best to stifle Ganso and keep him quiet, but Vargas and Farfan weren't able to help out against Costa and Nene.
Spurs- Another good team by spurs, not sure about front line though, which is possibly spurs’ weakest point. Well written tactics
Fiorentina- the attacking threat of VDV helps Fiorentina in this one. Evenly balanced line up and formation which looks very very good and strong. Nice subs to bring on at right time.
plenty of chances thirlling football fiorentia edge it though

Marky, I think its a MAHOOOOOSIVE error. No matter how good or bad tactics are some players just have that thing where there name in the line up = goal.
Have a look how Arsenal are doing in life after RVP.
Bottom of the league I think. Gone from League and Cup double, same manager, to now being bottom of the Fast & Furious League.
Care to explain how?
Actually Fan did. Didnt see that as he PUT IT in the comments instaead of under the scoreline like everyone else.

You may be right, but i'd argue that since winning last season, Fernando, possibly due to time restraints, hasn't been submitting tactics as good as they were last season, and i'd bet there's a few others on here who would agree with me.

Some good feedback there guys, thank you.
I am a little puzzled that it ended up 3-1 rather than 2-1 or something. I don't argue that we would be beaten, but it seemed people had it closer than the final score suggests.

Right Kameni and Gibson defo getting sold to lawyers unless people want them. I need the cash.
Rodwell looks to be going to Fiorentina unless someone would like to make an improved offer. Just letting people know before I get accused of playing you all off against each other.
To be honest, I will probably make the wrong choice anyway
