Born in England but spent all his life at 'home' in North Wales. Welsh speaker, only 1 choice really. Also born in England were Jon Daviesb and Alex Cuthbert, Warburton would also qualify as his parents are English but he's a clever boy so again only 1 choice.

Re: so north is actually english!!
Wrong on all accounts... he was born in England to Welsh parents, though but after a few months after his birth they moved to Hong Kong for 5 years, then moved back to Wales.
He was asked if he would of ever considered playing for England before the World Cup and his answer was "no".
Half the Welsh team was born in England, it is nort unusual for young Welsh people to go to England for work and education as there is little in Wales, then come home when children are home for family support. The net result is a lot of young Welsh people are born in England to Welsh parents. It is very common.

That's a lie. He lived in Norfolk before moving to Wales. Lying makes baby jesus cry.
EDIT: Norfolk. Hong Kong. Same diff

what does it matter. He is weslh and represents wales.
You could most likely trace half the international players of the home unions to another country.

Hmmm his Wiki page seems to have changed since I last read it...
Ok lets split him in half, you can have the english bits... and Wales can have the Welsh bits... so clearly Wales get the rugby talent and personality.

North wouldnt have played for England anyway, he would have been overlooked for the likes of Cueto and then left to rot in the premiership after having a cap for the Saxons

If I recall right, he lived a lengthy period of twelve weeks in England after his birth, then moved to Hong Kong and has lived in Anglesey from the age of three.
People from Anglesey are mutants, did North look at all human to you today?

Only three of those are involved in the squad now. Do we really want to go down the 'foreign players from past' when Wales and Scotland are the only two sides I know that have ever actually cheated over it?
Also Lesley is a kiwi born in Tonga (to kiwi parents). The islands are not interchangeable you know.

Oakey, Not yet mate, you have to come to the end of the shelf life of those you have at the moment.
We are looking for two ourselves at the moment, once that has been solved we can continue to work on the transfer agreement, just make sure your cricket board start putting some money into our feeder system as well, the Rand isn't that strong at the moment, a few billion pounds will be the right thing to do.

Of course Wales and Scotland do it! Everyone does. Therefore it's a moot point. So why don't you just discuss North the player and his attributes. He's got nothing to do with England really.

Now, now, no need to get picky. You take what you get, if you complain, we can always stop the feeder system.mystiroakey wrote:a few billion quid might be worth it if one could play spin!!

Let's not forget Manu Tuilagi...great English name, that one. Was due to be deported for overstaying on a 6 month holiday visa, until he "decided" that he was English and someone (probably Peter Wheeler!!) pulled a few strings at the Immigration Board...

Thomas Waldrom - New Zealand again
Why don't England just stop playing New Zealand. It's embarrassing. You're obviously not going to beat them with a load of their cast offs. They must be laughing, and South Africa!

Morgan is not gash. Hes probably the only decent 8 you've got. And Gatland seemed to rate him highly enough that he was going to include him in the Welsh squad. We could use him in Wales.

If your opinion has been formed by what Welsh fans have told you after he swore his allegiance to English... do i have to say much else? Its pretty typical of Welsh posters to say "oh we didn't need him anyway".
As a non anti-english person i can say that Morgan is a very talented and powerful player.

You missed the point. Wales and Scotland cheated. They break the rules. They played ineligible players. No-one else has been doing that.

George North is Welsh. He speaks Welsh, he sounds Welsh. He is Welsh.
Accent is the biggest indicator of nationality. Not birth.
Even Falatau has a Welsh accent.
The Welsh team is effectively an extended club side. That is why we punch above our weight.
Perhaps this is Irelands greatest weakness. Despite dominating the HC, they are effectively a combination of two nations.

birth is immaterial to most- however parentage can play a massive part as well as were you lived for the majority of your youth(accent is a good way of putting it i suppose)
