I am in the envious position of being a welsh fella in edinburgh, yesterday was not good for the scots, i want you to do well though, the positives you can take i think is that the chances are being created, if you can just take them - not next week though!

Re: so north is actually english!!
So do people consider George North Welsh because a) he has a Welsh parents or b)because he lived the majority of his life in Wales? or is it the combination of both??
If it is a) then it baffles me when people consider Ian Evans (SA), Dan Lydiate (Eng), Aaron Shingler (Eng), Jonathan Davies (England) and Alex Cuthbert (Eng) all welsh BUT don't consider Dylan Hartley, Matt Stevens, Joe Simspon, Brad Barritt and Charlie Sharples English even though one or BOTH of their parents are English?????
If it's b) then Dylan, Alex Corbisiero, Joe, Manu Tuilagi and Charlie Sharples should be considered English because not only did they live in England for a long time but they actually went through the english rugby system, which I think is very important for the RFU to consider when selecting a team.
Also, the whole notion that England is poaching New Zealand is non-sense because the only one in the team who's born in NZ is Dylan and as I mentioned he has an English mother, and according to him a very posh grandmother, and went through the english rugby system not the NZ one.
In Conclusion, if George North is 100% Welsh then England is 96.9% English, which is actually 25% more English then people assume.

faraway, just want to clear something up for. When you're on the wind up you are allowed to be as hypocritical as you want. There are very very few people who think that North is Welsh but Corbisiero is a yank. And they are idiots. Best to be ignored or joined in with but certainly not taken seriously

i started this thread based on the fact that i only just realised north has some english roots and the fcat that i think he is a very good player and would love to have him playing for england.
however he choose wales. if he had choose england , we would just have arguments the other way, dual nationals cannot win.
north isnt 100% weslh at all- however he is 100% entitled to play for wales, just like he is 100% entitled to play for england if he choose that route.
the problems we have arnt about players like north, from my point of view its from players that may get a chance to play for a team just because one of there granparents is of another nationality- and that person really has no links to that country. I think if you have lived in a country and gone through a certain system with that country its also fair play!

Im sure in another life if North got signed up by Sale instead of Scarlets and England came knocking with the Welsh showing little interest. He wouldn't have minded playing for England.

In another world Lomu's dad wouldve taken a job down the coalmines in aber, and the legend wouldve played in red!
Ps Morgan is going to be running the English back row soon enough, he is such a powerhouse, he's like Easter but with pace and power, and less soft!
