Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Don't think that Wood is scheduled to play this week, can only see him replacing Dowson on the subs bench by the end of the tournament. Robshaws a great leader, but isn't a 7 at all.
Think Croft had a good game against Italy, was very good at the breakdown, but the annoying thing is that he can offer so much more - Lancaster has to find a way of getting him running the ball more - could be such a threat for us.
Wonder if Lancaster will be brave and play Flood and Tuilagi against Wales?

How far you wanting to Drive to work Driver? Might be able to suggest a few cheaper areas to live in - got a few university towns nearby (Colchester, Chelmsford etc) that could do some cheaper places to live.

Colchester is grimmer than grim. Basildon is the worst

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
That makes sense for servat he is still good but not the player he was and certainly can do no more than 50 minutes. What a player he has been for toulouse and France. An all time legend. He has lost his place to Swarzeski who was never near the player he was so makes sense

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Servat has been awsome this season and had a cracking world cup. That's the first game Sz has started ahead of him in ages, hardly lost his place.
Still rumours anyway, I read he was going to be player/coach a while back

Colchester not that bad - a few areas you have to avoid if you don;t want to get mugged or touched inappropriately (Driver might like the latter though). Got a great town called Wivenhoe, perfect for pub golf - 18 pubs within walking distance!
Basildon is a complete shoite hole though, you are an outcast there if you don't have a child by the age of 14.

Who do we reckon has been the best Southern hemisphere signing by a Northern Hemisphere side this season?
Been quite a few. Donald, Afoa, Louw, Smit, Bakkies, Giteau, Rokocoko, Sivivatu, Chisholm plus others I've missed.
I would say Afoa

Id say Luke Burgess.
Steenkamp, Afoa, McAlister, Sivi & Louw are good shouts too.
The others like Giteau, Bakkies, Roko have made little impact from Ive watched of the T14. Giteau has been very disappointing when I've caught him.

Forgot about Burgess. He and Mac have done well at Toulouse but have both been inconsistent.

Possibly McAlister, Burgess has looked great though. Becoming a bit of a favourite there. Seen loads of Toulouse and he's performed pretty consistently.
Although I'm not a fan of Steenkamp he's played well since recovering from injury
Smith has been canny, probably the highlight for Toulon who haven't looked great in the backs. Just seem a bit disjointed.

Afoa has been key addition for Ulster. Gives the scrum and added the final piece to there now impressive pack. At his best he is like another backrower on the pitch who can destroy most scrums. At his worst he offers an above average workrate and a sold scrum option.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Seen Giteau get quite a few rave reviews. Trouble with Toulon is that they change their team every week - like Chelsea under Ranieri!
Siviatu had a slow start, but seems to have come into some fine form for Clermont - some of the Fijians in the French league are amazing - just don;t know any of their names!

Giteau has been poor, mostly played at 12 but struggled to make an impact alongside Wilko which I was surprised about.
Sivi has really picked up after a sluggish start, playing some great stuff

Parents have watched Toulon play 5-6 times this season and said he was very good in each game - still settling in and getting used to playing with different midfields, but certainly hasnt been poor.

I watched them a similar amount of times, he's been poor half of those and kind of ok the rest, certainly not very good imo. on TV so I don't see the whole picture though.
Not clicking at all with Wilko which surprises me.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
I would probably say that Wilko and Giteau don't work properly as both want to lead the backline their own way - want control of it and would be hard for either to pass up on being the main decision maker.
Toulon are stupid as well because they have such a big squad they change 4-5 players every game so they never build any momentum - even in HC they changed their squad continuously.
Never understood why Toulon keep signing foreign players when there are the new rules about having 'x' number of French qualifieds in a team. Would have thought they'd invest into their youth setups more.

Toulon are a nightmare to watch. there rotation is ludicrous. They get Bakkies and Shaw and all these big name players and rotate rotate rotate rotate.
Annoyingly like a lot of the french sides they pick their weakest sides away and just try and win their home games.
They could have won so many away games

BBC saying Bath and Irish also interested in Ben Morgan.
Hala'ufia is off it seems so a number 8 is on the agenda. I will miss his wild forearm smashes.

England players released:
Mike Brown, Joe Marler, Jordan Turner-Hall (all Harlequins), Calum Clark, Paul Doran Jones, Courtney Lawes (all Northampton), Toby Flood, Manu Tuilagi, Thomas Waldrom (all Leicester), Lee Mears (Bath), Ben Morgan (Scarlets), Tom Palmer (Stade Francais), Charlie Sharples (Gloucester), Joe Simpson, Rob Webber (both Wasps), Matt Stevens (Saracens).
Surprised Ashton wasn't as would have thought another game would have done him good, but then again I guess he isnt guaranteed a game!

Prop has messaged Pete his team and pete has deleted and it and now gone on his hols till next week. Prop said he wouldn't be able to get online from thursday onwards and now Worcester might not have a team.
