Re: London Wasps vs Exeter Chiefs
"(Exeter) have injury concerns this weekend as prop Brett Sturgess broke his arm against the Tigers. He had an operation on Sunday but is expected to be out for between six and eight weeks.
It brings to an end Sturgess' run of 51 consecutive league games stretching back just over two years.
Second-choice loosehead Ben Moon turned his ankle in the final minute and Baxter was waiting to see how the swelling went down before finalising his starting line-up.
Luke Arscott missed last weekend's win with the shoulder injury that forced him off against Perpignan last month and James Hanks is likely to miss another week at least with an ankle injury.
That is in addition to the long-term injuries to Sireli Naqelevuki and Josh Tatupu."

Re: London Wasps vs Exeter Chiefs
It's sounding like Mooner won't be fit, so presumably Tui to swap to LH with Budgie or Luke C-D on the bench, Mitch to start at TH with Andress benching.
Pretty sure Arscott won't be ready - it's a bit worrying that he's been out so long with the neck/shoulder injury. Dollman's a capable replacement, though, if not quite so solid.
Apart from the locks, the rest of the team pretty much picks itself, but there must be a temptation to give Phillips a start, and fit Ewers into the backrow somehow.

Sturgess and Moon both crocked, so Tui switches to loosehead with Budgie as cover on the bench. Otherwise the same side that beat the Tigers

Re: London Wasps vs Exeter Chiefs
Daly and Woldock have been playing well so far, lets hope that form continues as i'd like to see either/both in the Saxons soon.
Looking at the teams I think it's now 50/50 and a lot depends on both teams mentality more then their actual players and skills.

Re: London Wasps vs Exeter Chiefs
yappy, am counting on us playing with our usual level of intensity, particularly in the pack, and on Mieres keeping the scoreboard turning for us
Will be excellent to see Budgie make another cameo appearance!

Great news for Wasps fans.
Regarding tomorrow great to see Joe Launchbury back (bench) but no signs of the Russians yet?

Re: London Wasps vs Exeter Chiefs
Can't help thinking we're gonna get outmuscled in this one. Wasps need to put width on the ball and make that Chiefs pack cover plenty of yards.
Plenty of pace out wide for us if we get enough good possession, and great to see Launchberry back. Not optimistic though - confidence is rock bottom with Wasps atm.

Re: London Wasps vs Exeter Chiefs
CD - he wasn't great tbh. Missed a sitter of a penalty, and did not make touch from a crucial penalty near the end, when Wasps were ramping up the pressure. The resulting punt downfield ended with Southwell hoofing it straight into touch. We end up 40-50m back from where we could have been.
Then the last scrum (Wasps 5m from the Exe line) was a superb con job by Bugden, who was brought on for that scrum.
One team didn't want to play, and the other team couldn't play, in an error strewn match in pretty grim condititions. An appalling advert for Premiership rugby.
Thank feck Ealing are at home next week - I'll get to see some decent rugby

Re: London Wasps vs Exeter Chiefs
Terrible ref decision that last one & could be crucial for us!
Got to hand it to Exeter coaching staff, if it was their idea, as Exeter were going backwards for the last 4 or 5 scrums.

I should think that at 39-yrs old and with all his experience, Budgie is probably teaching the Exe coaching staff a few tricks - absolute legend

How did he do? Should he still be on Gatland's radar?

Tommy, I wouldn't say so. He looked a little lost, altho to be fair to the lad, it wasn't a wingers' day

Re: London Wasps vs Exeter Chiefs
Well from what I remember him against Italy (I was on a stag night at the time) he looked particularly lost then. Poor bugger, he'll probably be destined to play for some second division English side for the rest of his days.

I see Tom Lindsay is getting plenty of gametime...good for England....
Still fancy Exeter for this one...and then when Wasps go down we'll sign Lindsay as we need a powerhouse hooker...and he'll come and work with Deano
