Exeter Chiefs vs London Irish
No change for Exe as they welcome the Exiles to Sandy park once again. The Chiefs will be looking to finally post a win against Irish. one of only two teams in the premiership that they have never beaten. Couple that with Richie Baxter' 400th appearance for the club, and it should make for an excellent afternoon!

Assuming you're going to be at the game Asbo, let us know how Irish's 12 and 13 go, will you?

Would have loved to have gone to Sandy Park for this, but sadly not to eb this year. Ah well always next year.
I think this will be a good game by the way.

Me too, Pete, hoping we'll see some free flowing rugby from both sides. Next year, get your family down to Devon for the weekend. This year, we can make do with the RAA!

Good luck for the Heino next season Asbo , Barf have shot their proverbial and will be lucky to make the Amlin the way they're performing.
I said before if Barf didn't make sixth I'd wish it for the Chiefs... who the feck was I kiddin' - bring on the play-offs at this rate.
Be proud of your boys Asbo, monumental in spirit, strong in mind, tough in the tackle too; but feck, they can play an'all.

It's a long way to Bath from Walsall HERSH, I don't think I could make it as far south as Injun country, besides, the LV looks like a really strong competition next season... .

Re: Exeter Chiefs vs London Irish
Thanks, PJ, it's still sinking in tbh. They always say that the sign of a good team is one that wins while playing badly, and that certainly fitted Exe yesterday. Poor Mieres had a miserable day with the boot, and that seemed to effect his confidence as our pivot - very little went right for him. Our lineout malfunctioned for most of the first half, credit to Irish for that. Not sure how Armitage wasnt given a YC for taking out a player in the air, oh well. Fortunately Irish seemed really out of sorts, not helped by Jarvis who just isn't of prem standard to me. Not sure why Garvey was picked at 7 either, it meant conceding the breakdown to Scays and TJ who both had a field day in the absence of any competition for the ball.PJHolybloke wrote:Good luck for the Heino next season Asbo , Barf have shot their proverbial and will be lucky to make the Amlin the way they're performing.

Re: Exeter Chiefs vs London Irish
Manky, Ansbro was solid in defence with one creative moment alone in attack, but I was really impressed with Shingler. Outside of a 10 who is in the wrong league, he was the main source of the limited Irish creativity that there was and was very good in defence, successfully shackling Jason Shoemark who has been in outstanding form for the Chiefs. Bryan Rennie, who I think has just the one A cap for Scotland, looked in excellent form for Exe at 13 - he has filled in admirably for Sireli Naqelevuki. Wales's Craig Mitchell gave young Alex Corbisero a torrid time in the scrums - Mitchell has come on a treat this season and is now unquestionably the cornerstone of our packManky-Flanker wrote:Assuming you're going to be at the game Asbo, let us know how Irish's 12 and 13 go, will you?

Exeter 5th in the league and three points off a play off place. Could they do it? Dare to dream ASBO.
Well done on the win yesterday, was Garvey really playing 7? That just seems crazy.
Li like Bath seem to be losing their way, I thought they'd got back on track after last week but maybe not. Something is really wrong in the setup there.

Garvey was wearing 7 but playing on the blindside. Danaher was the openside but won't wear 7 as he suffered a horrendous knee injury a couple of years back when wearing 7 for us.

I'm afraid work commitments and imminent Wife's birthday preclude any involvement for me in a trip to Paris! I'm a bit of a home only fan unfortunately, hopefully i can convince my Wife that HEC rugby will be the perfect opportunity for a bit of European travel but until then...

The Burger Van and Bar.
I've followed Exe for a while, but in truth I never expect them to progress to anything more than a good solid Championship team plus having watched the showers of s... in Bath at the moment can you blame me for wanting to have some enjoyment from this domestic season?

Not at all mate, always nice to follow a few teams. I always cheer on 'Westcountry' teams (although these days the definition of Westcountry is quite far reaching!). Bath'll come good. Great team!
