London Irish vs Exeter Chiefs
Exeter:

13 Phil Dollman
12 Jason Shoemark
11 Matt Jess
10 Gareth Steenson
9 Haydn Thomas
1 Brett Sturgess
2 Chris Whitehead
3 Carl Rimmer
4 Tom Hayes (capt)
5 James Hanks
6 Dean Mumm
7 James Scaysbrook
8 Richard Baxter
16 Simon Alcott
17 Ben Moon
18 Hoani Tui
19 Aly Muldowney
20 Tom Johnson
21 Kevin Barrett
22 Ignacio Mieres

First start for England U20 star-in-the-making Jack Nowell after two fine LV performances, plus great to have Hoani Tui back after injury for potentially his first appearance of the season. Strong bench to come on

Re: London Irish vs Exeter Chiefs
Maybe the 1st league appearance for one of Exeter's talented young group of backs - Nowell?

Defo, Dave - he's appeared in LV= and 'A' games only up till now. Other than Dave Ewers, he's the first of the youngsters to have come thru to the senior side - two very good LV= performances made it very hard to leave him out

FT: 23-27 Good win for Chiefs, first away win of the season. Shakey first quarter from Irish allowed Chiefs to get on top - the home side came back strongly, but Exe defence was strong and held out. Couple of missed kicks on either side. Up to 5th

Dave Ewers sounds like a cracking player from what I've read - he can't be far off a regular starting place? I'm looking forward to the likes of Hill, Slade and Carrick-Smith establishing themselves over the next couple of years.
Looks like a 3 horse race for relegation (Sale, LI and LW), with everyone else looking at top 6 or top 4. I still think LI are far too good on paper to go down, but they keep losing.

Re: London Irish vs Exeter Chiefs
irish were soooo poor for the first 25 minutes, never seen them play so bad.
but after edged it and won the last hour 20-6. Just a shame about the start.

Morning As
Your boys seem to be flying at the moment. As it doesn't appear that there'll be any trophies coming our way this season, I would love to see the Chiefs picking up some silverware. That would be great for the game I reckon.

Ahoy there buddy, sadly we won't retaining the A league trophy - we were beaten away by Sarries and Quins (I think), so may not be any silverware for us this year (altho things going well in LV= Cup) - to be honest, I'll settle for a top 4 finish, that would be another huge achievementOzzy3213 wrote:Morning As

Likewise, can't come round quick enough. When do the fixtures get finalised. Saturday late kick off would be the ideal really I think.

When are most arriving down to yours, or are there no plans yet until the exact fixture date is known?
