League Breakdown and Rules
- Spoiler:
- Welcome to the 606v2 Euro Division
Where this will be different to the existing leagues is that the sides involved are entirely made up.
You don't inherit a pre-made European side.
Instead you make your own.
You would initially start with £150m with which to buy a MINIMUM of 15 players and a MAXIMUM of 23 players.
The prices for these players are determined entirely through the transfermarkt website.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/
But here's where it gets interesting...the prices that are used on transfermarkt are the minimum you can bid, because other people in the league may also want the same person, so do you risk bidding the flat fee or do you bid more (increased bids have to be a minimum £500k more), the other point of note at this stage is that the maximum value player you can bid on is £15m (though you can choose to bid more than the £15m to get the player)
You then get an ADDITIONAL £50m with which to purchase upto 2 STAR players (min 1), though the maximum you can spend on 1 player is £35m.
This will then result in you having a team of a minimum of 16 players and maximum of 25 players.
You then have to name the team, give it a location where they play their home games and send this via PM to myself and Sodhat before the cut off point (to be decided).
Results of who got which player will then be announced and for those that lost out on players due to being outbid, a second chance is available to acquire players before the league starts, and third etc if needed.
Number of leagues is dependent upon how many players participate.
Foreign transfers.
As the only deciding factor for selling a player is cash then there shouldn't be wrangles over if a TP is accepted or not, if you have the cash you can buy!
TPs though will only go through once a week on a Sunday night for the week ahead.
Max transfer value for bringing in a player from foreign transfers is £15m in Season 1.
You can only make 2 foreign transfers per week.
Domestic transfers
Players can move only twice between domestic clubs per season, once they have moved twice you will have to wait until the following season to sell to another domestic club.
They can though be released or sold to an outside club.
For anyone that joins the league after it begins then the following rule applies for the first two weeks:
Transfers between 2 domestic clubs must be within 20% of each other in total monetary value. So for example if Team A wish to buy a player from Team B worth £10m then they must offer between £8-£12m in player/cash value.
Note that once 2 weeks have passed then the manager is allowed to but and sell as they please but this rule is in place to combat the usual bombardment of silly offers that litter the new managers page.
Injuries
Injuries shall be announced once per week on a Sunday night, they shall consist of 2 players, one based from the team picked for the previous weeks game and one from the entire squad.
Tactics
Each week you shall play 1 game, either league or cup (no more than one game per week though), tactics for this game shall consist of a team sheet, injuries for your team and a maximum of 15 bullet point lines worth of team instructions.
As well as the tactical instructions you are allowed 2 extra lines of a team talk to motivate your players, show your worth not just for tactics but how you build players up for the game!
Failure to get tactics up by the deadline of 11:59pm each Wednesday without a decent reason will result in a goal loss per day not posted and no entitlement to cash bonus that week. Repeated failure shall result in extra injuries to team and possible expulsion from the league.
Please do not look at your opponents tactics if they are already posted, it's giving you an unfair advantage and basically cheating. If it is deemed to have taken place then you will be forced to hand in your tactics in first on a weekly basis.
Cash
Each week you receive 2m for a win, 1m for a draw, zilch for a loss.
You also receive an extra £2m per week for ensuring your tactics are handed in on time and you've voted on the results.
Each week there shall be a £1m cash bonus to the team voted best tactics.
Hopefully this is enough to entice to sign up! If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to ask and I look forward to seeing your team sheets!

Re: The 606V2 Fantastic Fantasy League Homepage III
I can't really fault them olly.
There's a lot of ways to write tactics, some people are player specific (like me) and some people do a mix of player specificity and general team instructions, some people go for general team instructions only and some people only say the very basics ( ).
If you find a certain way to suit you then just go with that and you should be ok. People also supply reasons with the votes so if you get beat you at least know why (most of the time!!).

7-1 now, 10-2 on aggregate!
Comeback is on
(I personally blame Keita for not closing the guy down quickly enough!)

Morning,
There wasnt clear outlines on "bullets points" so I was unable to hand in acceptable tactics.
Twist, are you a runner of this league???

I think it's extremely clear and I have already shown an example of what I consider acceptable using Twist's tactics so please hand in tactics asap.

Hero, it wasnt clear. It was still in dispute and I had real work to do so I didnt bother with any. I can do some quick ones in 30 mins if you want.
How are results done? Votes?? No point in handing tactics in then when people like TwisT will just auto vote loss for me.

Similar to the old league but with if there are results that are miles apart from the others they will be removed as anomalies therefore stopping tactical voting.

I am not childish nick, so no I will only give you a loss if I think you have lost the game tactics wise.
I am not going to be blackmailed into giving you a win, nor be given grief if I give you a loss. I will play it straight down the middle and treat everyone the same.

TwisT, you say you not childish but in the FL you kept saying when things got heated i was nowhere to be seen.
Well well well, notice the BOLD text from you in the quote below:
by TwisT Yesterday at 4:29 pm
I was against it and it isn't needed, as explained Viva. The runners have all the drafts and the fees that were paid. From this point on, people need to keep track of their dealings. It is totally different to the problem with FL.
I am keeping out of it now. I am tired of the arguing.
Any football on tonight? Europa league is tomorrow yes?
So if your supposed to be a runner your doing a good job of running off when it gets heated. Otherwise your doing a grand job

Hey, does anyone here use sky go on their laptops or computers?
I'm going to install soon on my laptop but I want to know how it works. Can I watch live channels or do I have to download everything after it's finished?
And do I get ESPN...

So I don't need to worry about download limits?
Because in the midst of getting a sky package we have only got like 2MB downloads and I don't want to exceed that by using this.
Sports is my only real interest to be honest, and the website says I can watch all sports channels I subscribe to so I can watch all the football without bothering my housemates (who like actual tv and rubbish like that).

I don't think you get ESPN simply because that is PPV on Sky anyway, even if you have the sports channels. I don't know if they do their own online service.

Sodhat, sky go is good for sports and thats about it really.
So I don't need to worry about download limits? - Shouldnt have to as your sky go download limits will be determined by the device and connection: e.g
laptop connected via wireless hotspot - NO
laptop connected via home wireless - YES (as this will be using your 2MB downloads)

Sorry if these are basic questions, I am basically a technical special...
