Re: In 10 years time....
... or the merit or demerit of fast courts.
... or the annual Wimbledon festival which has Oxygen tents and Dialysis machines for players to use during changeovers... and the festival lasts 325 days with 40 days of rest to complete the championships with matches played over four days
... and how the 2000s foolishness of having four slams a year was stopped in 2022...
I am planning to invent a mid-shot ball suspension machine so players can take a break and resume their shot after they have towelled that pesky drop of sweat on their brow...
Hawkeye (not the 606v2 poster) has replaced human umpires in 2023....
PS: LK... you are a wonderful poster.

In ten years time, Judy Murray will be head of LTA and GB will have 4 men in the top twenty.

Re: In 10 years time....
I know having a half full glass is a good state to be in but there are limits……..this sounds delusionary .
I think nearer the case will be that tennis will become even more of a minority sport in Britain than it already is as we will not have any men players in the top 200 and therefore no men players in any of the high profile tournaments. Like ‘em or loathe ‘em, Henman, the Canadian bloke and Murray have kept tennis at a falsely high profile in British sport relative to the general strength of the national players. Not sure about ladies tennis; rightly or wrongly it has a lower profile than men’s tennis but GB does appear to show some promise there

in 10 years time Socal will still be trying to convince us that Novak would beat Fed in RG '11 had Fognini not retired the match before.

You mean, if it hadn't been for Fognini, Nole will have had 5 Grand slams including three Golden slams.
