Djokovic:
“I really don't prefer anybody of those two (laugh). Whoever I play, I obviously wouldn't feel like a favorite on the court… and by the way, it is a final, so in order for me to win I will have to be on the top of my game against either of those two players.”
Nadal:
"Yeah, he's winning very easy all the matches. He don't to lose a match this year, so we'll see is what's going on. He's playing fantastic. I just can congratulate him about what he did the first three months of the season. It's fantastic."
"So on Sunday have to play very well all the match if I want to have any chance. I have to play aggressive and I have to play all the points, and that's what I going to try."

Re: ATP Miami Masters: The Final
Haddie, I think you are right when you have two of the best defenders and returners in the business you are going to get less winners and more points ending in errors. Rafa's double faults can be put down to the fact that the best returner in the business was across the net and waiting to pounce on any routine delivery so he had to go for more. But in my mind this is the best match of the year so far, which I have seen.
Djokovic surprisingly, played both a clean and aggressive match from the second set onwards. He finished the day with 40 winners v. 40 errors. These numbers are incredible when you consider that the best defender in the game Nadal is across the net, and not just that he is the guy who hits with the heaviest spin as well. Very hard to be aggressive on balls that move and jump up like that.

Haddie: "So Nole well done my man....now let us see you on the red stuff "

Ahem... Is that a threat?
This is only the beginning of Nadal-Djokovic rivalry (I hope!) and they already played more matches than Nadal and Federer have! The future of tennis looks bright! , I mean,

Re: ATP Miami Masters: The Final
How can that possibly be interpreted as a threat Green. ???
Nole´s success in beating Rafa has been on the hard stuff.
Now I want to see him on Rafa´s "turf"( pardon the expression )
It may well be a whole new ball game .. doesn´t take anything away from the rivalry does it ?????

Re: ATP Miami Masters: The Final
Good stuff Green, thanks for keeping these threads going.
So back to clay. The US Clay court Championships get underway today, with the worlds number 1, getting in by wildcard, in action against Argentine and World Number 71 Carlos Berlocq.
They share the draw with the new American hope MARDY FISH and other guys who serve a lot, like Karlovic, Isner, Querrey e.t.c.
Meanwhile there is a boring tournament in Casablanca for people like Simon, Montanes and Baghdatis.

ATP 250: Houston & Casablanca
Not sure if there is enough interest to start a new thread for these tournaments, but if someone wants to follow the progress of the unofficial GOAT in Houston or... say, Simon in Casablanca, I thought I'd post some useful links here...
