Djokovic:
“I really don't prefer anybody of those two (laugh). Whoever I play, I obviously wouldn't feel like a favorite on the court… and by the way, it is a final, so in order for me to win I will have to be on the top of my game against either of those two players.”
Nadal:
"Yeah, he's winning very easy all the matches. He don't to lose a match this year, so we'll see is what's going on. He's playing fantastic. I just can congratulate him about what he did the first three months of the season. It's fantastic."
"So on Sunday have to play very well all the match if I want to have any chance. I have to play aggressive and I have to play all the points, and that's what I going to try."

Well, I still haven't turned in yet. So Novak on after the Berdych match which has started in the 3rd.
The wimmin aren't helping either. TB for the lovely, fragrant Ana and Kim, so I'm sure I won't be seeing any of Rafa. tonight.

Ana and Kim are playing on the Court 2, Rafa is on the main court after Petkovic-Jankovic. Though they too just started the 3rd set...

I think Mardy'll make it. That's usually the kiss of death when I say that, but he's definetly looking strong and I can't see Ferrer really surviving against him if he's serving well.

I believe Mr. Fish will do it with Stacy power, she will somehow motivate him to get by the tough David Ferrer.

Shocker of a game when he lost his serve. I just knew that double fault was coming.

Well played Mardy at the age of 29 he has now reached his highest ranking and is Americas top male tennis player. He had to overcome both Juan Martin (7-5 7-6) and David Ferrer (7-5 6-2) to achieve this which he accomplished in straight sets. After his win against Juan Martin there was a heart warming picture taken of the two embracing at the net with both smiling broadly after a hard fought match.

Hooray for the Fish!
I want him to win this one, to be honest. Just for facing up to the adversity of being called a Fish for years.

Fish also has a grand total of 106 points to defend during the entire clay season. Imagine what would happen if he absolutely owned the clay court season?

Novak takes the first set after 53 minutes... with only one break of serve, though he tried hard to make it more. Novak had to save three break points, despite serving very well (74% of 1st serve), and converted one out of just two break opportunities.
Great tennis!

I guess nobody else here is watching this... You're missing some amazing points. Novak saved two more break points to take the 3-1 lead in the 2nd set...

Well, Anderson surprised me, but Novak stayed cool and, after 1 hour and 48 minutes (!), it's 6:4 6:2. A hard fought victory, despite the final score, which is a good thing for Novak, I think.

Re: ATP Miami Masters: The Final
To me Djoko didn't look very good today eventhough he won 6-4 and 6-2. His serve and his defense led the way, except for a few remarkable backhand winners on the dead run he wasn't hitting his forehand with much conviction and he was giving up too many errors with the backhand. Frankly, he was lucky that Anderson tightened up and went 0-5 on break points.
To me Novak looks a little tired and a little tight in this match. Nadal looks to be the inform guy right now. I am a Novak fan but the way Nadal is playing right now I would favor Nadal beating both Fed and Novak on his way to the title.

I'm looking forward to seeing Rafa tonight as he has seemed much solid in this tournament than IW. Berdych should provide a better test.

Evening Green. They've just been showing the highlights in the UK on Sky tv. Its as you described earlier. Nole was really pushed in that match and perhaps could find it a little difficult with Fish.
The run has to end somewhere, no? ... :run2:
I'm waiting for the Main Event at midnight.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, of course... but Fish? Nah!
I even think he'll beat him easier than Anderson, cause he's more familiar with his game.
Anyway, I'd rather Nadal ends his run... some time during the clay season! :run2:
Soooo... Nadal vs Berdych. I reckon Nadal will win this, as Berdych has been unimpressive so far; I think he's been taken to 3 in all of his rounds hasn't he?
No, he beat Berlocq 7:6 7:5 in R3, but I expect an easy win for Nadal... He seems to be playing much better than in Indian Wells.
He does seem to be playing better and seems totally focussed.
I'm sure Federer would have rather had some more match play under belt too.
Federer said something about losing his focus in USO SF because he was already thinking about the potential final with Nadal... Shame Simon was injured, he had a real opportunity there.
Yeah ... he does trouble Federer for some reason.
Well ... a semi-final of a Masters doesn't have the same kudos, but I'm sure he'd take it.
Rafa to do his bit yet though.
Roger Feder has been playing well this tournament and with the rest he will get from this match will likely put up a stronger than expected fight against his semi-final opponent - even if the court is playing like clay.
Can't see past Nadal not winning this Tournament even although Djokovic is on a high.
So this could be the end of Novaks exceptional run (that is assuming he does make the final!! )
Well, last season threw up some surprises at both IW and Miami, but with the top 3 and JMDP making the semis last week, there was no real surprises there.
Is Fish going to be the one here??
Re: ATP Miami Masters: The Final
You were actually serious about Fish?! That's a - no way!
I don't know who and when is going to end Novak's winning streak, but whoever it is he's not gonna do it easily and Fish is just not good enough, IMO. Watching Novak's match with Anderson I saw how hungry for winning he still is and he's not gonna let go of this run that easy. Given the form he is in at the moment, I think the only real chance to beat him have Nadal and Federer. Though speaking objectively, I think Djokovic is winning this tournament. (And I'm not saying that cause he's my favourite player - he's already won quite enough this year and I wouldn't be too upset if he were to lose to Fish, but I don't think Fish will win more than 5 or 6 games... That's just the way things are at the moment. )
He could lose to Nadal/Federer in the final, but not to Fish!
I had never been this certain about the outcome of his matches before, I'm almost as confident as Novak right now .
[Ahem... I hope nobody quotes me on this! ]
Having seen the beginning of the match, I realise I may have gone a bit too far with the number of games that Fish will win prediction <blush>, but I'm still confident about the rest.
Djokovic takes the first set - 6:3.
He couldn't have played worse and won this set BTW, but played somewhat better after the rain.
PS. Is anybody here watching this match?
Evening Green,
I tuned in after the rain break. Fish has had his break points though, just didn't take them. He'll be in bother if he loses his serve here.
Fish won his service games very easy before the rain break, and Novak barely managed to win his (had to save BPs)... And then it started to rain...
Rafa did it with 3 yesterday :run2:
Yes, bit of a poor joke by Andy if that's the case. You can understand him getting sick to death about the subject, but you can't help the media and his fans having interest.
Good play to hold serve there by Novak.
We're thrilled if Rafa gets 3 aces in a set!!
Well ... Novak motors on. ANOTHER final. Fair play to him, he is just on fire. I expected a bit more from Fish but it was a pretty routine victory for him.
Who do you want for the final?
