Where's YI Man this morning?

I want to know what happened with Leeds last night! 3-7 at home to a struggling Forest, and yet the gits still took a point off of us!

i defo wont want wallcott doing it
Id love Walcott takin set pieces, would exposes his poopieness even more.

Wenger must look at the role that Cesc plays for Barca and realise he missed a trick.
Yep

Vermaelen has a good header tho, few Arsenil players do so he HAS to be in the box.

Walcott can guard the goal. Laugh

when up top on his own he will drag the entire team out of positions because he comes so deep.

Like the season he scored 30 plus goals?.

have u seen thoose england games where we are getting dominated and rooney decides that his new role is Cm and we end up playing a 4-6-0 formation?

You can't blame Rooney when the midfield is so poor that they can't keep the ball for more then 20 seconds and can't give him a decent pass he has to do it himself. Wayne Rooney is too good for the England players they are not on his wave length.

Because no body is good enough to supply him so he decieds to come get the ball himself. Not his fault mate.

Lets be honest, what do you expect with Barry, Parker, Downing and Wallcott ??? Hardly shouts out service does it???

they can keep teh ball for more than 20 seonds because there is nowhere to go bevause rooney is usally behind them, he was no tacticaly awarness, he tracks back far to much when hes tyhe lone striker , then again we do play stuart downing

I can't take Barry in the England midfield any more.

Bring Paul Scholes back for the tournament at all costs and ditch Barry.

I agree, I don't think Rooney can play up front alone for England. He seems isolated in that role, he needs a partner and to be able to drop deep and make things happen.

we need to play 4-3-3 with oxo and johnson eitehr side of ronney
with parker, scholes out retiremant,(if fit)wilshere in midfield

I'd rather something like this:

Johnson---Wilshere---Scholes---Young
-----------Rooney
---------------------Bent/Defoe/Carroll (anyone really)

Otherwise Rooney is wasted on his own up front.

Carrick should be in the England team. I said it before and ill say it again he is being overlook, having a good season.

England need an out and out striker and Rooney to play in the hole. Heskey worked well with Rooney for that exact reason hence why Cap's kept picking him.

Cherries, saying Rooney has no tacticaly awarness is quite a silly comment. Hes a very clever player, maybe not clever person but player he is.

I'd still take Crouch along tbh, for all his detractors you can't argue with his international goal scoring record.
43 games, 22 goals = goal every 1.95 games

Rooney
73 games, 28 goals = goal every 2.6 games

Bent
12 games, 4 goals = goal every 3 games

Defoe
46 games, 15 goals = goal every 3.06 games

I'd take Rooney, Crouch, Sturridge, Welbeck

Carroll is good if you play a system that suits him, and Liverpool don't. Bent is our best bet I think, he's a good out and out striker with the odd comedy miss in there. Defoe is small but that doesn't mean he won't work with Rooney. He has good movement and Rooney knows how to play with smaller partners e.g. Hernandez.

Carrick is worth having in the squad Nick, can't see him ahead of Parker, but defo Barry/Milner

I don't know why everyone is so facinated with Parker is it because our fans love the hard working, tough tackling, none stop running give everything I got type of players? Yes he'll kick players and put some tackles in but ask him to play a striker through on goal he can't dictate the game he can't. We need players who are good on the ball not sluggers.

Parker is being pigeon-holed as a 'get your foot in' DM, but he is much more than that if you let him be. He can't run a game in the way a Scholes or Wilshere perhaps could, but he has a good range of passing, good energy and he is a threat going forward if he is allowed to.

He is definitely not a slugger, that's a disservice.

But with Rooney suspended for the first two games, who would your CF partnership be? Or would you play 4-3-3, using Crouch, Welbeck and Sturridge?

I'd be tempted with the following to start with:

Sturridge---Welbeck---Oxlade

Play for the counter and then launch forward quickly.

I reckon a draw which will then leave City 3 point behind and make potentially the derby even more interesting especially if Utd creep ahead on goal difference in the run in.

Man City v Chelsea

1-1
Toure; Lampard
I can't see either side winning. Chelsea are poor but now that John Terry is in charge they have a togetherness. Man City miss Kompany but have enough firepower up front to cause an aging Chelsea defence problems.

I also cannot stop any of you going onto the other site and posting what you wish, but I'd hope you'd show a little respect to this one and realise that by doing so reflects badly upon here and only results in tension between sites which is not something I want.

Clint Dempsey top signing I would have gone for him if I had the money, one of the best performers in the Prem this season.

I was going for him next week when I had the money. Could have gone for him a couple of weeks ago when I sold Gourcuff but I needed a DM.
