First topic message reminder :

I'm not great at writing new topics, but I've been looking for this one, and nobody else created it so I did. Forgive me if its not insightful, its simply a place to discuss the season run-in.

Leinster 77 --> Dragons(a)
Ospreys 67 --> Aironi(a)
Munster 62 --> Ulster(h)
Warriors 61 --> Connacht(h)
Scarlets 57 --> Blues(h)
Ulster 56 --> Munster(a)

You'd be right to do that KOG. The Weegees have beaten the O's home and away this season. Not sure I fancy anyone's chances against Leinster at the rate they're going!

Wishful thinking Rodders. Wink

Risca is Smile Right.

He wasn't far off. Draws are so rare in Rugby......... Apart from that s/he gave Ulster a BP but was otherwise correct.

Ha! That could happen Jenny. Sadly I won't be able to get the final at the RDS would love to - can't get the time off at work due to other people being off (inconsiderate so and so's...) Still, I'm going to the home semi hopefully. Smile

I'd definitely be thinking about heading to RDS for the Leinster/Glasgow game, but for the moment, I'm going to hope that Ulster come off the back of a thumping defeat by Edinburgh and take their revenge out on Muster Wink

Again, I can but hope...

You will be welcome in the RDS/Horse show house. Just don't hurt us too much if we are in the HC final, and we will promise not to hurt you too much if we are not.

Draws may have been rare in the league but this season has seen the most surpassing 2010.

2002 2
2003 0
2004 6
2005 6
2006 2
2007 6
2008 10
2009 2
2010 6
2011 8
2012 12

Teams with most:
2008 Edinburgh 3
2012 Glasgow 4

A sign of greater or lesser competitiveness?

I predicted the Scarlets would get to the last 4 but their rubbish flyhalf/defence and a shocking ref performance made it unlikely. Looks like Leinster V Ospreys play off, whatever the play off combination it should be a good game with an un-bias ref.

Updated the OP once more despite my enthusiasm failing from being an Ulster fan!

But hey, we still have the power to knock Munster out of the top four if Scarlets get a bonus point win! censored

Come on Ulster - stick one on the boys from Thomond. Yahoo
Would love to get the Ospreys in the semis again.

Much better chance of beating them this time round too. Run

Sorry Clive. Munster are safe. Scarlets have less wins. Only Glasgow can drop out of the top 4. And only Connacht can do that,

What you CAN do is send Munster to the RDS instead of the Liberty.

By the way Clive. I don't know why you are writing Ulster off and not the Scarlets.

Both teams have the same chance. Both teams need Glasgow to get nothing and a BP win.

Scarlets have less wins than Ulster so if the 3 teams tie on points Ulster will go through.

If both teams get a BP win (and Glasgow get nothing) The Scarlets go through.

To be honest it is pretty much settled as to who is through, it is just what position they finish in and where they play their next match that is in question.

Of course.

We are just dealing with mathematical possibilities. When I said that both teams had the same chance, I meant a very very remote chance.

Can we start talking about the Pro12 again now please? I bet the 3 other clubs who make the play offs will be wondering how much of a distraction the HC final will be to Leinster! Game on!

One thing I can guarantee you. Leinster will be playing Pro12 sides EXCLUSIVELY for the rest of the season. Whether that is 3 OR 4 games.

That's got to be good for the Pro12.

Not sure Jen, But not sure he would play anyway. I expect a pretty weak side to play Munster.

Think if it had been a 2-week ban, he could have played against Embra, so I expect he would be available this weekend - happy to be corrected tho

So on the up side he will be short on gametime, on the downside he will be well rested. Smile
