Edinburgh Vs Leinster (tomorrow)
First topic message reminder :
Well it's back to the PRO12 after a fantastic weekend for bothe Edinburgh and Leinster in the ERC.
It's Friday the 13th tomorrow too good for Edinburgh or Leinster
Edinburgh Team :
15 Tom Brown
14 Lee Jones
13 Nick De Luca
12 Matt Scott
11 Tim Visser
10 Greig Laidlaw CAPTAIN
9 Chris Leck
1 Kyle Traynor
2 Ross Ford
3 Geoff Cross
4 Esteban Lozada
5 Sean Cox
6 Stuart McInally
7 Roddy Grant
8 Netani Talei
Substitutes
16 Andrew Kelly
17 Robin Hislop
18 Jack Gilding
19 Grant Gilchrist
20 David Denton
21 Ross Rennie
22 Phil Godman
23 Jim Thompson
Not our strongest team but competative none the less. I can only assume Chunk is being rested after all the greggs stickky toffee puddings he scranned after successfuly drawing all those penalties from Toulouse.
The Backs look dangeorus but I worry for our front row. Our backrow will be good too.

Definitely a hangover from the Heineken Cup, big gaping holes in the defensive line for both sides.

Great phase there. Ver ver sheshxy.
Cronin is so strong and a modern, dynamic hooker in every sense.
Carrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Excellent cross-field kick by Madigan.

Madigan really is an attacking weapon,if the defence rush up he'll send a high kick for the winger to run on to and if they hang back he'll whip out long passes into space.

He's some talent all right Sore. Great vision, fast-thinking, sublime pass, excellent kicking ball out of hand. Has the X-Factor. Hate that expression, but he has. Bit special. O Malley is the same.

Schmidt is the master of squad rotation and player management. Always gets it just right, whilst strengthening the squad as a whole on the way. Great at it.

Great run by Strauss. So lucky to have him and Cronin on each others backs for No1 hooker. Its bringing the best out of both of em.

Well that was rather embarrassing.
Final score 54-13 to Leinster
Edinburgh were worse than McFadden's kicking performance

Re: Edinburgh Vs Leinster (tomorrow)
Tackling downright cowardly if at all - a truly dire, pathetic performance by Edinburgh. It should have been 70 points if McFadden had kicked his 13 points. It would appear some of the Edinburgh players think they are superstars already and maybe do not want to play in a semi final Heino!

Re: Edinburgh Vs Leinster (tomorrow)
The Edinburgh team in the Heino and the team in the PRO12, are two completely different beasts. NO comparision. They just dont have great depth and they are focusing soley on the HC.
I wouldnt put any store in that game, if I was an Ulstuurmon. No way. They will be back at HC pitch in Dublin. Trust in Bradley. He has made that call this year.

And what if they lose in the semi final? Suddenly their season doesn't look so great. They've taken a number of spanking defeats in the Pro12. They better hope their Heineken Cup run is worth it.

Re: Edinburgh Vs Leinster (tomorrow)
Have to agree with Gibbo here Edinburgh are a different beast this year in the HC and they are really now only focused on that. Anyone who thinks they will be a walkover in the HC semi cause of tonight is deluding themselves.
Also Notch, I'd say making a HC semi has actually made it quite a successful year for Edinburgh in many ways regardless of league placings. Granted, a better league placing would have been nice for them I'm sure but a HC semi is not something to be sniffed at (that is a saying right? I haven't just made that up?) . And a HC semi for Ulster has already made it a successful year, especially when combined with a shot at the play-offs, but without that shot it would all in all still be a relatively successful year with a good run in the HC.

Lol yeah it's rare he'd be in that position but I'm sure Schmidt will have him working on it for the future.
So is that 1st place sown up,I assume league placings are decided on points difference and not head to head results.

As an Edinburgh fan, Its great were doing well in the cup and all, but that was pure stevewalsh. Totally unacceptable, that was about 2/3rds of a first choice team, yet they looked like they could be arsed. smacks of a lack of professionalism.

I'm sure Edinburgh are glad yerman couldn't kick his granny out of bed tonight.
Gibbo,
Teams on the same points are separated by wins then points diff.

We WON the league. Just need 3 others to join in, for a futile shot at us.
I think Ulster and Edinburgh have had ground-breaking seasons already. They both know they can beat the best in Europe. That is a giant leap.
Well, when I say the best in Europe... they havent met them. Yet.

Thats why I couldn't take it. Pride in the shirt has to extend further than 6-9 games a season.

But we won the League. Now for a last-chance playoff lottery with the also-rans. Just sayin...
