Glasgow and Ulster swapping places in the playoff places as each minute goes by.
glasgow back within 7 again. 27-22 to Munster. 15 minutes to go.

And another penalty to Munster to bring Ulster back into the playoff frame.
Keatley steps up.... but's left and wide.

Re: Glasgow vs Munster
That penalty at the scrum has really wound me up. The Munster loosehead had no bind, had his hand on the floor and the Glasgow tighty gets penalised. That is the biggest load of sh1te I've seen in Union. If the refs can't ref the scrum right then maybe O'Brien is right to try to get rid of it. really hacked off now

What the flip has happened Munsters attacking play? They are all over the place here!
Three phases in a row and 3 different players at first reciever, none of which were Keatley

Re: Glasgow vs Munster
Keatley has got hi slicking boo its back. Another penalty from out side on the left and it sails straight through the middle.
Glasgow have a man binned too for lying on the wrong side and not rolling away.
30-22 to Munster. Ulster are back in the playoffs.

Some dodgy crossing by Munster in the lead up to a try as Murray gets it in the corner.

Peter O'Mahony
The new 10 that Munster have been looking for as he clears their danger lines with a mammoth touchline kick.

Aye O'Mahony should maybe start adapting to 10, since he has the attributes to play there too apparently..

Re: Glasgow vs Munster
And Munster stuff it up and let Glasgow back in with a third simple try for Hogg. With an easy conversion, that puts Glasgow back into the playoff places.
Game over.

Stuart Hogg gets a hatrick what a secondhalf for him!

Love this guy O'Mahoney. He's fast taking on the mantel of O'Connell as Munsters main talisman. He's a special talent and Munster are very lucky to have him .

Owens is an utter feckin disgrace. Someone had to have a look at this. Just how bad does his hatred of everything Scottish have to get. Every time I see his pathetic name I dread it. We should have won that. Curse the tw*t for all bleedin time!
PS well done Hoggy, despite that Owens ersehole you were brilliant wee man

Well I don't know about that. Munster were possibly the better side but that scrum was really annoying.

Re: Glasgow vs Munster
He's a 7, just like Chris Henry. They can both play every position in the backrow.
6 + 7 + 8 = 21
21/3 = 7
From the same school of backrow maths that brought you the 6.5.

I really dont think we can claim to have deserved that game, regardless of Owens. Glasgow were outplayed in almost every aspect, one well worked and two tries against the run of play doesnt change that.

Re: Glasgow vs Munster
Sorry but sticking O'Mahony at 7 is the biggest waste of his talents ever. He is a fantastic line-out operator, ball carrier, tackler, has great aggression and the go forward ball he offered Munster tonight was crucial. Perfect for an 8, something we have missed from Heaslip lately. He gets no chance to do that at 7 though, and I haven't seen O'Mahony play like that since the start of the season (where he played 6/8 more). If Munster don't want to use his talents, give him to another team that actually will. I think they are actually going to give him more shots at 8 now though, since it is obvious to anyone with eyes that it is his best position.
Step aside Heaslip, you are going to have to really up your game

Re: Glasgow vs Munster
Slightly disappointed by the result, but great fight shown there by Glasgow. I wish Edinburgh had half that bottle.
Stuart Hogg, legend.
With the remaining fixtures, hopefully Glasgow can now cement their place. Despite the defeat, it was a good set of results.

Re: Glasgow vs Munster
What would happen for Ireland if the backrow was
Ferris-O'Brien-O'Mahony
Now for our attacking scrums it went:
Ferris-6, O'Brien-7, O'Mahony-8
and our defensive scrums:
Ferris-6, O'Mahony-7, O'Brien-8
SOB isn't great at controlling the ball at the base of the scrum. I think the two SOB and POM are more a less the same kinda player, capable of winning turnovers and producing huge carries. You wouldn't lose a lineout option in Heaslip because POM is there

Re: Glasgow vs Munster
The thing that really stands out for me when watching POM is his ability to make the hard yards and gain momentum for the team, like any good 8 should. He must have made about 10 carries where he put Munster on the front foot. Something he hasn't had the chance to do at 7. SOB is better taking the ball at pace IMO. He isn't as good at making the hard yards, but at pace, SOB is very hard to stop and is a devastating ball carrier.
I would say that POM should bulk up if he was focusing on 8, but at the same time he is already the same size as Keiran Read and Harinordoquy apparently, and it doesn't get much better than those two.

Completely agree with the bolded part. There is a huge difference between the two types of carriers that people don't seem to take notice of

Re: Glasgow vs Munster
POM is having his purple patch season and it's great to see.
Why on earth would you put him at anywhere other than 8, when it's Heaslip who needs to be under pressure for his place?

Re: Glasgow vs Munster
Because people want a "natural" 7 to emerge, and were hoping POM would fit into that category. He doesn't.

Great game. Great advert for the PRO12. The best team won. But Hogg was brilliant.
