Steve tempo is everything for a 9 and both Dicksons excellent at it. They are the heart beat of the team.
Long term I think youngs will get 100caps. Short term he is more mencap.
Remember how bad balshaw went one year form is a funny thing.

I don't think Youngs will. I don't really see how they drop Dickson. He was magnificent for England besides the Ireland game. Lancaster seems to stick with his players so I'd be surprised to see Dickson dropped. I myself don't really see Youngs and Flood as a great partership in the way that Gregan/Larkham was and how Genia and Cooper are now. I think they're both suited to different players.
Dickson and Flood I think will work a treat providing Flood is fit. Was on crutches after today's game.

Be interesting to see which way Lancaster goes. Both Youngs and Dickson have played well in the AP since 6N. Dickson fell apart against Ireland despite playing well throughout 6N whilst Youngs looked on fire that last game.

Steve 100% not drop
Dickson agree. Flood not an international for me as weak kicking game
And defensively
Agree re combos. Jw made Dawson a much better player.
Blair makes any Jock 10 look good

Flood is not weak defensivley.....bizarre comment. He's no JW but is a extremely strong defender.
You're making some odd statements tonight, funnily seem to all be my players!!! Lol

Flood defensivley weak is totally bizarre though?!?!

To be fair he seems pretty intelligent for a NZ'er. They generally come across think as mince when interviewed.

Sat next to Martin Bayfield and Craig Doyle at the Wasps game yesterday - top blokes, surprised at how much Doyle knows about rugby and not just holidays!
Trying to find a video of the Tu'ifua tackle, looked awful when they replayed it on the tv screen - amazed Newcastle got a penalty from it, especially after the bloke started on two Wasps players and swung a couple of punches, which apparently werent picked up on the tv! Didnt make Barnes very popular, thought he was poor (again).
Whole game was story of Wasps season, play well first half and then youngsters get bullied out of it in the second - can't really expect anything more though when you have 9-10 players under 22 on the pitch at one time.
Can see why Newcastle finished bottom though, there is no creativity there at all and you know what their backline is going to do everytime. Biggest problem with Wasps was Robinson at flyhalf, thought he had a shocking game, worst in a Wasps shirt - kicking game was attrocious and gave Newcastle 10 and 15 all the opportunities in the world to pin us back - lost yards each time Robinson touched the ball - Mat do Gloucester want him back?

Wentzel is the best lineout operator in the AP - was so impressed with him yesterday - Lindsay overthrew so many times but Wentzel's handling in the lineout was just brilliant, so many one handed takes.
Can't believe when Lindsay went for a kick instead of passing the ball to Varndell - not been impressed with him since Webber's been injured, thought he'd kick on a lot more.

Thought Lindsay was excellent bar the kick, got through so much work. Your scrum always looks stronger with him too.
There was nothing in the tackle, Robinson dipped in a little. We got the pen as your fat no8 forearmed Tua

scrum is stronger as Broster and Payne have improved ten fold. have been excellent since the turn of the year.
wouldnt call Vunipola fat to his face mind - he's about 22stone, that Tu'ifua punched him in the face with a full on smack and he just took it - that alone should have got the Newcastle player a straight red. pretty sure the guy didnt use his shoulder.
just seen the Saints game and they are looking good for the playoffs - reckon they could beat Quins away.

Saints were dire 1st half against a weakened Worcester side, didn't watch the 2nd.
Was a fair tackle from Tua, he attempted to wrap his arms. He just plays hard.
Happily call Vunipola fat, I'd just gently jog away until he collapses. Blokes a mess, so out of shape.

Re: Homepage
Vunipola is 20, if Wasps condition him properly then he'll be some player, he's very, very quick and always takes out 2-3 players and good hands. Certainly no Ben Morgan though - though if I'm not mistaken wasnt Morgan criticised at around 20/22 for being overweight and not professional in diet etc?
very impressed with James Craig yesterday - did he get motm for Saints? looks like he's growing into a good player for them - can see Teimana Harrison getting fast tracked by Saints next year, think he'll be the best young 'English' seven.

Morgan was straight off a building site, Vuinipola is a professional rugby player involved with England etc. Really needs to cut out the KFC's, he's not even big, just fat!
Craig looked pretty good yesterday. Foden was Saints best player from what I saw

am going for a tigers v saints final.
craig got motm - foden playing very well again - how on earth can a lions coach choose between Foden, Kearney and Halfpenny!
same as the no6's - Croft, Lydiate, Ferris and the Scottish one!

That Etzabeth looks a very good player Mat - I've got too many locks to go for him - tricky getting the right number of players in the right positions.
Am having to get rid of either Charlie Davies or Sam Harrison, whichever one I sell I know they'll go on and be really good! Davies has got better and better this season for Wasps, got himself in front of Nic Berry at Wasps.
Also selling Beauxis for £6m if anyone is interested?

Put your pride aside. Need to stay up as there is no guarantee you come back up whoever you are. Financial sugar daddy might change his mind and I don't know how well Falcons would run by itself as a Championship side.

I don't think it would be as easy as that. Quins and Saints both had a bigger fanbase coming up. Easier to sell southern clubs to players than the likes of Newcastle, Sale and Leeds.

I honestly don't think it's that hard to attract players to Newcastle , clubs steeped in history , fantastic city and a nice bit of green to go with it.
Carl Hayman , Colin Charvis , Matt Burke and Mark Andrews all seemed to enjoy there time here.

Re: Homepage
Driver read an article that was saying you were signing Michael Lipman and another 2-3 former internationals, apparently Rory Lawson - Dean Richards is attracting them all. Your owner is putting more money in to safeguard against the shortfall of no AP money and likely you will have a stronger squad next year than this year.
That's a huge win for Pirates - its a shame that only Bristol can go up, but on the other side of the coin it would be good to keep a club in the north in the AP too - even if it is a team that plays really, really, really boring rugby

I heard the Lipman one a while back and the Lawson one the other week. The main one is the return of Ben Woods - great signing!
Lawson is set to sign on a 2 year deal which is good.

I'd happily take the technicality!!!
On our 2nd half performance we deserve it more than Wasps, doing them in their back yard proved that. Tait dragged us down, Richards can take us on.

Bristol need to be in the premiership they are a proper rugby club have a great history much more than newcastle and Worcester etc but rugby is not based on history.
Bristol have a decent front 5 and lost 3 of them early today.
Ward is a cracking hooker for pirates and will be a good signing for quins depth wise
