Same hero, I want Alaba at LB and Walker at RB. Its just the two center backs that I'm not sure on!
Also, anyone got a Right Winger going, happy to trade Navas

Morning. Apologies, pull, about not confirming the transfer. As you know, not using my own laptop. The one I'm on now is a slow heap of rubbish which I can't guarantee any access to. I'll be back tomorrow to vote.

Good striker Gomez
Robben was really poor last night. He should have switched with Affelay as Lahm had him in his pocket all game.

I hope Gotze gets a game out and really showcases just how good he is. Apart from the first few minutes in both games where he's looked nervous I think Hummels has looked very good.

Right if anyone wants Cashley he's available as a trade but I'm wanting to do the following:
Ashley + Luiz for a World Class Centre Back + A.N.Other semi decent player.

No as I think he was actually unfair on Hummels in the first game, he was picking him up on the tiniest thing.

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
Exactly - I think the media love to label players so easily. Especially the people that couldn't make it as top players and take it out on the real stars.
Ronaldo seemed very selfish yesterday and was huffing when nobody passed to him. Why don't he realise that he is part of the team and the team isn't part of him.
Top player but sometimes his ego prevents him to be a better player

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
Portugal suffer from not having a top quality CF. Ronaldo tries to do two jobs and ultimately fails to do either. At Real he is surrounded by class so can focus on what he does best. He doesn't have that luxury for Portugal and overdoes things imo.
Thought Germany was class yesterday. Even when Holland scored, they rarely looked in trouble. Couldn't believe Badstuber's miss though. Not sure what the Dutch defence were up to having said that. Their FBs are awful.

The fullbacks are far too forward thinking and against a side of Germany's clash they were left wanting several times.
Robben's ego came home to roost when he was subbed.

Odd move. Would have thought he could have got a move to most clubs in England if he wanted.

Don't know if to be honest many clubs would have gone in for him, not the best medical track record and certainly went off the boil after he returned from ACON.

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
Not just yet no.
Potentially World Class without a doubt, he has the skills there to become great, having the European Champions fighting off the Premier League Champions and Utd for his signature shows how much the top clubs think of him (which at the end of the day their scouting system and ability to judge talent is usually better than ours!
I would say within a year though he'll be on an Aguero level and will go past that to be up there with the best.

Hulk can be decent. When he wants.
What he suffers from is the playacting which is rampant in the Portuguese game, if he used his low centre of gravity more to his advantage and powered through the tackles he'd have a much better rep.

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
I'm not so sure Guv.
Undoubtly his quality is all to see, but one great season doesn't label you as 'world class'.
His overall record is average.
Maybe Hazard will take the prem by storm but until then, that is all speculation. Isn't it?
I would also put Goetze in that bracket too

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
Hazard would need some reach Aguero's level.
Aguero did it in Spain and with his build as a striker, done brilliantly in England.
Potentially I do believe he has it, but for now I would say Nani>Hazard,Goetze IMO

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
I'd disagree on that point Kam.
I'd rate any of the big Dortmund players on a par with those that have come through at City this year.
Both win their respective league (although Dortmund have now done it 2 years running), both poor in Europe.
The main difference is that we live here so have much greater exposure to the Premier League stars and therefore put them on a pedestal when they do well and write them off when they have a bad game. Look at Torres, completely lost all his cred, Sneijder though has been equally shocking in his league, no-one would turn down Sneijder though.
Aguero last season played for a top 6 club in Spain, whilst his rep was good he'd hardly actually done anything, Hazard and Gotze meanwhile were league champion winners, Hazard twice player of the year (I should have that line saved to copy and paste), I do feel that a lot of the issue is one of perception from the premier league.
Oh and Nani < Hazard or Gotze

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
Nando Hope we can play to his strengths now Drogs has gone. That's what he needs. Don't want to ruin another legend like we did with Sheva. Never played to his strengths either. Loved his goals the other night.
I will be interested to see where we play Hazard. I am assuming on the left of the front 3 with Torres central and ANO on the right, Hulk being the one we're after it seems. Mata playing behind Torres with two central MF, Lamps and Ramires the obvious choices. Quite attacking really.
Not sure where that leaves Sturridge. Or Marin for that matter.
Squad game I guess.
What about the Gooners Kam? Pod -- RvP -- Giraud, or Giraud central, RvP right?.
How do you rate Kigawa Hero? Not seen too much of him tbh other than the matches vs Arsenal last season.

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
I presume it will be:
Hulk---Mata---Hazard
--------Torres----------
Though I can see Hazard wanting the AM slot ahead of Mata.
Which is a very good set up to allow the players to move with freedom between positions as and when it benefits them.
Kagawa is a fantastic player without doubt, player of the year in Germany for a good reason.
My issue with him though is I just don't know how they will play him. He plays best when he's in a very high up attacking midfield position or as the second striker, which is often where Rooney tends to play, it also means that we'd have to change our formation to alter the team around him to be a 4-2-3-1 rather than the 4-3-3, 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 that we alternate between.
His tackling rate is awful, worse than any Utd midfielder, so he won't be assisting when he comes back. His strengths though lie in his intelligence, positioning, energy and ability to read the game, he'll certainly create a lot of chances.
