NEW RULES!!!!
- Spoiler:
- Tactics & Voting
Tactics and voting are to be in promptly on the dates required.
If these deadlines are not met then the following happens:
1. The offending party receives a -1 goal to their score immediately.
2. If after 24 hours they have failed to still hand in tactics/votes then they receive a default loss for that week.
3. If this happens on a regular basis the manager shall be removed from their position.
If there is a valid reason as to why you cannot provide tactics or votes on time then this must be informed to the league runner as soon as possible.
Media Page
Each week 5 questions are provided by reporters, everyone has the opportunity to answer these for a 1m boost to kitty.
Manager of the Month
Every month there is a poll put up for manager of the month (the previous month's winner is excluded), the winner gets to use a magic sponge on a player that is injured at any point the following month to recover that player for that week.
League Breakdown and Rules
- Spoiler:
- Welcome to the 606v2 Euro Division
Where this will be different to the existing leagues is that the sides involved are entirely made up.
You don't inherit a pre-made European side.
Instead you make your own.
You would initially start with £150m with which to buy a MINIMUM of 15 players and a MAXIMUM of 23 players.
The prices for these players are determined entirely through the transfermarkt website.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/
But here's where it gets interesting...the prices that are used on transfermarkt are the minimum you can bid, because other people in the league may also want the same person, so do you risk bidding the flat fee or do you bid more (increased bids have to be a minimum £500k more), the other point of note at this stage is that the maximum value player you can bid on is £15m (though you can choose to bid more than the £15m to get the player)
You then get an ADDITIONAL £50m with which to purchase upto 2 STAR players (min 1), though the maximum you can spend on 1 player is £35m.
This will then result in you having a team of a minimum of 16 players and maximum of 25 players.
You then have to name the team, give it a location where they play their home games and send this via PM to myself and Sodhat before the cut off point (to be decided).
Results of who got which player will then be announced and for those that lost out on players due to being outbid, a second chance is available to acquire players before the league starts, and third etc if needed.
Number of leagues is dependent upon how many players participate.
Foreign transfers.
As the only deciding factor for selling a player is cash then there shouldn't be wrangles over if a TP is accepted or not, if you have the cash you can buy!
TPs though will only go through once a week on a Sunday night for the week ahead.
Max transfer value for bringing in a player from foreign transfers is £15m in Season 1.
You can only make 2 foreign transfers per week.
Domestic transfers
Players can move only twice between domestic clubs per season, once they have moved twice you will have to wait until the following season to sell to another domestic club.
They can though be released or sold to an outside club.
For anyone that joins the league after it begins then the following rule applies for the first two weeks:
Transfers between 2 domestic clubs must be within 20% of each other in total monetary value. So for example if Team A wish to buy a player from Team B worth £10m then they must offer between £8-£12m in player/cash value.
Note that once 2 weeks have passed then the manager is allowed to but and sell as they please but this rule is in place to combat the usual bombardment of silly offers that litter the new managers page.
Injuries
Injuries shall be announced once per week on a Sunday night, they shall consist of 2 players, one based from the team picked for the previous weeks game and one from the entire squad.
Tactics
Each week you shall play 1 game, either league or cup (no more than one game per week though), tactics for this game shall consist of a team sheet, injuries for your team, if your team is home or away and a maximum of 15 bullet point lines worth of team instructions.
As well as the tactical instructions you are allowed 2 extra lines of a team talk to motivate your players, show your worth not just for tactics but how you build players up for the game!
Cash
Each week you receive 2m for a win, 1m for a draw, zilch for a loss.
You also receive an extra £2m per week for ensuring your tactics are handed in on time and you've voted on the results.
Each week there shall be a £1m cash bonus to the team voted best tactics.
Hopefully this is enough to entice to sign up! If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to ask and I look forward to seeing your team sheets!

I remember a certain ppl here who had their tounge so far up Gervinho ___ last year, hes had a magnificant season at Arsenal hasnt he.
For me, Hazard will spend a lot of time on the bench if he joins City or United, as he is no better than Young, Valencia & Nani, or Silva & Nasri At Chelsea, I think he would play more.
Hazard has potential to be a real world beater, but his performances for Belgium (and Lille in CL) have been poor, so he also has the potential to be a complete waste of money.
I would probably risk him for £15-20m, but no more than that

1. he will go straight to Real or Barca.Neymar will easily warrant a 32m fee if he moves, he's also proved nothing.
2. its clear to see hes much better than Hazard.

He is going to milk the club for all their worth because he had an alright season. Meaning they will resent him next season because he's paid so much

The fact that Chelsea, City, Utd and others are willing to pay it shows they believe him to be worth it and a player is only worth what clubs wish to put forward.
But Real and Barca are not prepared to pay it. For me, it is English clubs desperately trying to catch up with the Spanish and paying over the odds.
Neymar stands out a lot more, in a better league than Hazard, and there is a strong history of players from Brazil becoming world stars. It is much weaker in players coming from the French league for the first time.
Also, Joe Cole has looked brilliant for Lille. If he went back to Liverpool, would you back him to be brilliant for them as well?

Hes had quite an inconsistant season. Playing 5/6 Champions League games this season and was far from impressive.
End of season he wants to put himself in the shop window, up his value, he cant do that at the Euros so he had to try even harder in Lilles last few games.
Anyway, as I pointed out, some of you contradict yourselves.

The season before Chelsea sold him to Liverpool he was still a quality player. I don't know why we let him go.
His main downfall for his whole career is his proneness to injuries, which is a shame because he had so much potential

I think Holt is driven by one last chance for a big deal and a established Premier League club, while his stock is at it's highest. If he doesn't repeat this season, next year, then he won't have that chance again.
And I like Lambert, and dislike Villa so hope not. I think Solskjaer will end up at Villa

Strongly disagree on that. french league is very thin on quality outside the top sides, whilst Brazil is much more competitive, with a lot of talent even in the lower teams

My memory is a bit hazy now, but as I sit here I can't think of anyone for Bayern who really played brilliantly. The stats suggest they dominated the game but I don't remember one player taking it by the scruff of the neck. All I remember is Robben shooting a lot!

Kroos kept shooting a lot too, and most of them were well wide!
He did get the assist for Muller's goal though, which was a lovely cross.
For me everytime Bayern went forward, you felt like they were going to create a chance, especially whenever Ribery got on the ball against Bosingwa. But amazingly, Chelsea held strong - Ashley Cole was immense!

Nah. The league has passed me by a bit too much now, plus I look at the teams and based on all the old leagues I was in, I worry it has moved on too quickly.
However, it has lasted much longer than Azzy's Serie A league

Robben is a big game choker. Its not the first time hes done it. Most recent before the CL penalty in ET was the Bayern v Dortmund League match, Bayern needed a point to keep there hopes of a title alive, 90th min penalty and Robben chokes.
He choked in the one on one vs Casillas in the WC.
CL semi vs Liverpool he missed a penalty too (his Chelsea days) I think.

Cole was fantastic and even though I've been praising Baines the past two years Cole reminded me whos the boss of the LB position. No disrepect to Baines but when Cole is on form there is not a better LB in the world (Even our Patrice Evra) and I trust him to do a better job against the truley best wingers in the world (Except Valencia) over Baines.

Finally, I've been saying Robben is a bottler for ages but no one agreed with me. Infact he had two chances against Casillas to win Holland the World Cup. I really thought Schweinsteiger would own the game for some reason he didn't don't know if it was the early yellow card.
Re: Homepage XIV
I like Baines but the best RW/RB duo he'll face each season doesn't compare to Robben/Lahm for me.
He has the edge offensively perhaps though.
I thought Gomez looked poor, but I've always seen him as someone who may take a few chances to get his goals.

What is you say about rating a player on one performance compared to consistency over the whole season.
But I was only being tongue in cheek with Sodhat and agree that Ashley Cole, on his day, is a better player than Baines.

Re: Homepage XIV
I remember the hype to Gomez before the World Cup and he was pants. He smashes the German League but apart from the Real Madrid Semi where he played well Ive never seen real quality preformances from him in big games.I thought Gomez looked poor, but I've always seen him as someone who may take a few chances to get his goals.
Dzeko is the same. Smashed the German League isnt that good.

You're right Afro past two years I would say Baines has been the best LB in England and should be in the First XI for us at Euros.

I would go with Cole, but Baines isn't a bad back-up. Cole never lets England down and in the last few tournaments has been one of the few England players to come back with any credit.
