NEW RULES!!!!
- Spoiler:
- Tactics & Voting
Tactics and voting are to be in promptly on the dates required.
If these deadlines are not met then the following happens:
1. The offending party receives a -1 goal to their score immediately.
2. If after 24 hours they have failed to still hand in tactics/votes then they receive a default loss for that week.
3. If this happens on a regular basis the manager shall be removed from their position.
If there is a valid reason as to why you cannot provide tactics or votes on time then this must be informed to the league runner as soon as possible.
Media Page
Each week 5 questions are provided by reporters, everyone has the opportunity to answer these for a 1m boost to kitty.
Manager of the Month
Every month there is a poll put up for manager of the month (the previous month's winner is excluded), the winner gets to use a magic sponge on a player that is injured at any point the following month to recover that player for that week.
League Breakdown and Rules
- Spoiler:
- Welcome to the 606v2 Euro Division
Where this will be different to the existing leagues is that the sides involved are entirely made up.
You don't inherit a pre-made European side.
Instead you make your own.
You would initially start with £150m with which to buy a MINIMUM of 15 players and a MAXIMUM of 23 players.
The prices for these players are determined entirely through the transfermarkt website.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/
But here's where it gets interesting...the prices that are used on transfermarkt are the minimum you can bid, because other people in the league may also want the same person, so do you risk bidding the flat fee or do you bid more (increased bids have to be a minimum £500k more), the other point of note at this stage is that the maximum value player you can bid on is £15m (though you can choose to bid more than the £15m to get the player)
You then get an ADDITIONAL £50m with which to purchase upto 2 STAR players (min 1), though the maximum you can spend on 1 player is £35m.
This will then result in you having a team of a minimum of 16 players and maximum of 25 players.
You then have to name the team, give it a location where they play their home games and send this via PM to myself and Sodhat before the cut off point (to be decided).
Results of who got which player will then be announced and for those that lost out on players due to being outbid, a second chance is available to acquire players before the league starts, and third etc if needed.
Number of leagues is dependent upon how many players participate.
Foreign transfers.
As the only deciding factor for selling a player is cash then there shouldn't be wrangles over if a TP is accepted or not, if you have the cash you can buy!
TPs though will only go through once a week on a Sunday night for the week ahead.
Max transfer value for bringing in a player from foreign transfers is £15m in Season 1.
You can only make 2 foreign transfers per week.
Domestic transfers
Players can move only twice between domestic clubs per season, once they have moved twice you will have to wait until the following season to sell to another domestic club.
They can though be released or sold to an outside club.
For anyone that joins the league after it begins then the following rule applies for the first two weeks:
Transfers between 2 domestic clubs must be within 20% of each other in total monetary value. So for example if Team A wish to buy a player from Team B worth £10m then they must offer between £8-£12m in player/cash value.
Note that once 2 weeks have passed then the manager is allowed to but and sell as they please but this rule is in place to combat the usual bombardment of silly offers that litter the new managers page.
Injuries
Injuries shall be announced once per week on a Sunday night, they shall consist of 2 players, one based from the team picked for the previous weeks game and one from the entire squad.
Tactics
Each week you shall play 1 game, either league or cup (no more than one game per week though), tactics for this game shall consist of a team sheet, injuries for your team, if your team is home or away and a maximum of 15 bullet point lines worth of team instructions.
As well as the tactical instructions you are allowed 2 extra lines of a team talk to motivate your players, show your worth not just for tactics but how you build players up for the game!
Cash
Each week you receive 2m for a win, 1m for a draw, zilch for a loss.
You also receive an extra £2m per week for ensuring your tactics are handed in on time and you've voted on the results.
Each week there shall be a £1m cash bonus to the team voted best tactics.
Hopefully this is enough to entice to sign up! If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to ask and I look forward to seeing your team sheets!

I'm thinking long term too with Hummels. Germany should win the tourny so he'll be good for the later rounds.

Cheeris, M'Vila wont get you points. How many goals and assists does he get? He will pick up cards and lose you points.
TSC,
Lloris
Alba
Rami
Hummels (He's cheap for a defender but I may replace him)
Piszczek
Ozil
Pirlo
Dzagoev
Silva
Llorente
Huntelaar
Looking better. You may want to gamble on a croation, they have a good team and could do well in their group.

I had Ruddy as my starter for most of the season
Just my opinion on Ruddy, I admit Green used to be better when he was in his prime.
My opinion is obviously extremely biased as I do think Grant Holt is one of the best strikers in the Prem

TSC, I would pick Alan Dzagoev. He is going to have a field day in Group A. I would be very wary of picking any player from Group B.

Better. I am doing mine later.
The teams that I am going to concentrate on are Russia, Spain and France. Then Germany. I might even go for Robert Lewandowski as he will score goals in Group A
Looking at the groups, I think these are the teams that will get to the Semi Finals.
My QF picks would be:
England v Spain (Winner - Spain)
Italy/Croatia v France (Winner - France)
Poland v Germany (Winner - Germany)
Russia v Netherlands (Winner - Russia....I hope)

Defo getting better.
Twist, Lewandowski is a great shout, host nation and a group where he can get goals.
I wouldnt bother doing it until 29/05/2012 when squads have to be confirmed. Get a better idea of starting players etc.

Re: Homepage XIV
In Fantasy Football terms......
Russia > Netherlands
You will get 3 games where Russia will probably score more goals than the Netherlands will do in Group B.
The key thing is this. Who do you think will win the group in Group B? I think Germany, so that is why I would pick their players over Hollands. But my main core will consist of French and Spain players, with players like Lewandowski and Dzagoev.
I would not pick any Portugal players.

Afternoon gents
I tend to listen to Nick on Fantasy football type things. He either knows what he is doing, or he is jammy, but either way he usually does well at them.
BTW some interesting bids in the star player auction. Some players getting massively inflated offers based on past reputation and media hype, rather than how they are currently doing and how likely it is that they will actually perform to a high level going forward.

For the 3rd time in case anyone's missed it, here's the link. Have a look at the player prices, Llorente is a steal at £5.5m
http://fantasyfootballeuros.skysports.com/select-team/
It's difficult, need to think about later rounds than group stages.
Lew has never really performed at intl level.

No it's the same song; the single. I don't like them though. I read something funny about them though; they performed a concert recently and everyone was criticising the singer's voice. Someone said "He can't sing. But then again, he never could."

Yeah he isn't exactly Robert Plant. One thing I notice is that their songs are so much quieter vocally than others on my iPod, so I wonder if they're covering for his voice?
Best thing about them is the guitars, John Squire is very good.
Did you know Slash once asked to be in the band when Squire left?

I took a bit of a punt, I had a couple of back-up options for the 2nd round of bidding so wasn't going to pay over the odds. Only £1.3M over the TM price in the end.

Who decided? Why was I given a straight fat no when I missed my lawyers when it wouldn't make no where as much as an affect as Cherrys has. He can pay the 20% extra knowing that he will get the player, the others werenot sure and some like me used all my money. It's not fair one rule for one and another for others.
