It seems weird that he is releasing players, the club has probably done most of the friendly's so far tbh. If we had organised a tour like we had to Germany last year that would have been Lambert, but the friendlies we have so far were probably done by the board.

Still can't believe we released Wilbraham Sad

Lambert probably planned to stay, or at least considered it, hence he released players and arranged friendlies.

TSC, to answer your question, no. Silva impacts City's side a lot more than Kagawa will impact United's side. There might be a period where he plays well and everyone thinks he's better than Ozil, but even Fergie wanted Hazard before going for Kagawa. If he was that good, he'd be elsewhere.

I agree on the Hazard is better than Kagawa. That is why Utd, City and Chelsea were all prepared to pay ridiculous sums for him.

Ha, fair enough. Silva > Kagawa just now but it'll be interesting if he improves a lot. Not sure if Fergie wanted Hazard over Kagawa, I thought he was going to get both of them. But we'll see.

Not our David Silva, but he'll be a good player in the team. We don't play like other teams where one man runs the show, it's more important that we're a cohesive unit which Kagawa would fit into nicely.

I guess he is, but you can't really begrudge him it. He has transformed us, and I know it seems like he has been unloyal but lets not forget he rejected Celtic and Burnley before. He probably feels he has taken us as far as he can. Plus he will do this to Villa in a couple of years when a real top job comes along Very Happy

Right:
1. I am resigned to Lambert going now.
2. Holt may leave, I hope he don't but every player has his price.
3. This is pure BS because why would Lennon give up Champions League footie and the club he loves for a club he has no real links to? He isn't even in the running according to most bookies.

Yeah but I can't genuinely see him being attracted to Norwich. Skybet don't even have odds on him. They have just made the McNally link and that's it. I think/hope that Malky Mackay gets the job. He knows the club well, has done well at Cardiff and Watford, and he seems as if he could be next in the long line of successful scottish managers. But then of course he could be like McLeish Laugh

I wouldn't mind Gus Poyet, but I think he would prefer to stay at Brighton over us. Actually the more I think about Lennon the more I think it could be a interesting appointment. I guess him and Lambert were both bought up under O'Neill and have both been successes so far in their managerial careers. He was down here for the testimonial a week or two ago, could he have been tapped up then?

At £32m, £38m & £8m respectively, Hazard, Hulk & Marin have cost Chelsea a mere £2m more than Carroll, Henderson & Downing. Mind-boggling...

That is crazy! Guess it shows just how English players values are inflated purely because of their nationality. Or it just shows how bad Liverpool are at buying players

And Frank Lampard had to wait a similar time before knowing he'd miss the Euro's.

At this late stage, ligament damage would rule most people out of the Euro's.

Something for the morning.

How many of your squad are definitely going to the Euro's, and for which country?

I've got 5 in the German squad, 1 in the Italian squad and 1 in the English squad.

How many of your squad are definitely going to the Euro's, and for which country?

I've got 5 in the German squad, 1 in the Italian squad and 1 in the English squad.

Germany: Boateng, Badstuber, Kroos, Gundogan, Muller
Italy: Maggio
England: Green

I have
Netherlands: Tim Krul
Denmark: Daniel Agger
England: Leighton Baines, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Scott Parker, Steven Gerrard

I would also have had John Ruddy but he succumbed to injury. Also how Hoolahan didn't make the Ireland squad I will never know, same with Micah Richards and England
