Foreign Transfer Bidding Page
First topic message reminder :
As a general rule, if you want a world class player (and by world class I mean a player that I consider to be one of the 3 best in the world in his position at the moment), you will be looking at between £20-25 million.
For a top international with over 30 caps, £17-22 million, and an international with less than 30 caps £15-20 million. There may be some exceptions to this in the case of certain players, but this will be the general rule.
There will be an upper limit of £10 million for uncapped academy aged players unless two or more managers want the player and enter into a bidding war in which case there is no upper limit.
Bids for uncapped players who are over academy age limits will be judged on their own individual merits.
Current Bids Under Consideration
* = current bidding wars.

Foreign Transfers
To make a foreign transfer (i.e from any club outside of the AP, regardless of whether the player is English) a bid should be made on the Foreign Transfers Page, which will be considered by me against the posted guidelines for purchase prices before being accepted or rejected. No bid will be accepted until a minimum of 24 hours has elapsed from the time the bid was made, in order to afford other managers the opportunity to make a counter bid.
Foreign transfers will unlimited during the off season and 2 during the season. The exact dates of the two transfer windows during the season is to be confirmed.

What's his first name? I don't know him so am going to have to research him in order to assess your bid.

Sorry, Edwin Maka - 19 yr old who has signed an academy contract at Toulouse, no first team exp. As Chris says, looks an absolute beast.

Re: Foreign Transfer Bidding Page
Pete can I confirm this ?? It said previously that it would be approved if no bid made by yesterday lunch time. My bids have been there for 3 days previously

Re: Foreign Transfer Bidding Page
It was just over a day and a half, not 3 days.
My initial bid was over 24hrs which I think is a minimum not a rule.

will have a look at bids after I've had my dinner.

Re: Foreign Transfer Bidding Page
Apologies for not getting on yesterday to deal with bids, life takes over sometimes.
Bidding stands at £5.5 million with Pooly, and I will let you know now I am unlikely to be up at half 10 tonight to give a decision on it, so will probably be some time tomorrow morning unless a counter bid comes in.

I'm out
Looks a cracking player, imagine he'll get plenty of gametime at Stade too.

Guys would anyone have an issue with me confirming the bid for Bennett? It's been up a week and no one else has bidded at all - I know that Pete is offline this week. Cheers.

He's not an international...
Also read a French article saying he still hasnt decided whether he will carry on again this year, so pretty much a gamble signing!

He has retired from international and will play for clermont when needed. It's a calculated gamble. If he plays it will be for 1 season so price about right

Re: Foreign Transfer Bidding Page
£7.5m - can't see him being worth any more than that as he has retired from international rugby and from what I've read will barely feature for Clermont, and he's 34!
