Big Fella Thanks for the National??
Hi guys, firstly I'm far from a racing expert - my knowledge extends to about two days at the races a year and a flutter on the national. Thought i'd make the most of 606v2 to ask the better informed about Big Fella Thanks chances on saturday? My mate is under the impression that he could've done it last year had Walsh not been injured, and that with his new trainer (ferdy is it?) he's a virtual cert to stay all the way? My mate knows much more about it than me, but he loses as much as he wins so is hardly the oracle! I'm thinking of putting a nice few quid on him - do you guys think it's worth it?

Hi Sugar Boy Sweetie,
Nice to see you on our racing pages : )
Well, Big Fella Thanks is my fancy for this year's National.........what a story it would make if he won!
I rather fancy Comply or Die for a place.
I'm not the better informed tho'...........I'm sure they'll be around tomorrow to give you their opinions.
I picked the first three home one year......my mind's just gone completely blank and I can't remember which year and who they were lol

Comply or Die has been my pick the last 3 years.
Probably stick a few quid on Big Fella, State of Play and then pick an outsider.

What about Don't Push It again, know it's rare for the previous years winner to prevail, but you can't look past McCoy!
Other than that, I'll be waging on Big Fella Thanks, Don't Push it and State of Play.

Hi Sainty,
I agree......I won't be at all surprised if they win it again.....would love McCoy to win for two years running!
If I were having a bet my money would be on Big Fella Thanks.

He just doesnt stay,as simple as that.He ran free and burnt himself out last year, this year Graeme dropped him in,saved every inch of ground up the inner, put him in the race three out then just "filled him up" on the run to the last but once he popped him the question he just emptied big style. He has still run a tremendous race but if Ferdy is going to bag a big staying prize with him then it looks like its going to have to be away from Aintree.
