Think theres a Coral up the road...
May go and have a look. I reckon that's a decent bet, Greece could win that though. Maybe a Greece win/Russia win will be the way to go
One of my colleagues had money on Lescott first scorer at 33/1 yesterday

I'm starting to worry about Netherlands getting through there group. I can't see them getting past Germany and they are going to need more than 3 points, which I can't see them getting! I knew as soon as they were my sweepstake team they would get knocked out!

I had some on him at Paddy Power as I had a gut feeling a CB would score from a set piece and he was a better price than Terry. He was 40/1 there.
Unfortunately it was only £1 on

£40 return from a quid isn't bad at all Afro!
My colleague only had £2 on, but £68 back is pretty handy. It covered his other, less successful (losing...) bets at least.
Betting tonight?

I'm not complaining about the £40!
I have been putting £3 on first goalscorer in a few games as Paddy Power are doing their money back specials. Did Fabregas in the Spain-Italy game, and he scored second but got my money back as the special was on a score draw. I have also done Jelavic who scored, but not first, so had I been doing anytime scorer I would be doing well!
Anyway, I went to put £3 on Young yesterday but followed my gut feel and split it £2 on Young and £1 on Lescott. That £40 covers me for a few more bets now

Todays money back special is on Poland v Russia.
They will refund all losing bets on first scorer, last scorer, correct score and scorecast bets if Lewandowski scores at any time

What is the CVA??
Company Voluntary Arrangement. They stop clubs going into liquidation if the parties owed money agree to it. This CVA offered to pay 9p for every pound owed. The HMRC (ie the Taxman) is owed the most and has voted against it. Crawley Town went through this process years ago, our CVA was 50p in the pound. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/crawley_town/6931377.stm

So does this mean Rangers could be liquidated?
Very likely. Even as soon as this Friday.
They would reform as a new Rangers FC, but it would be 140 years of history gone just like that. It would also be up to the other clubs where the new Rangers play their football. In the SPL, or lower. It would also mean their players could walk away for nothing but a CVA would save things. It's all their own fault for not paying £50m odd in tax, but its the fans I feel sorry for. No fan should see their club liquidated.

Poor Nay! They wouldn't be allowed to reform in the SPL surely? Probably in like the Scottish Third Division? I didn't realise how serious it actually was! I thought all those Celtic fans singing about Rangers getting wound up was a joke!

Celtic can laugh all they want but if Rangers are finished Celtic are going to have problems both clubs need each other.
All these rival fans laughing at Rangers are going to be affected by this too.

There is literally no one. Plus the only game that I would watch in the SPL has gone in The Old Firm game. Bad news for SPL and Celtic as well. Will players want to play in such an uncompetitive league?

Re: The 606v2 Fantastic Fantasy Football Homepage page XVII
Rangers administrators' CVA offers 8-9p in the pound (best case scenario)
Administrators fees: £5.5m
Football debts: £3.5m
HMRC owed: £21.5m
Ticketus owed: £26.7m
Total owed to unsecured creditors: £55m
Basically, offering to pay about £5m of their £55m debt.
They could well reform in the SPL. The amount of income the other clubs get from playing Rangers and Celtic home and away 4 times a season is staggering, they'd be cutting that income in half if they rejected it. Rangers would still be at Ibrox with thousands of fans. They would be banned from European Football for 3 years though as a new club.

Think about this:
If Rangers are sent to the Scottish Third Division, they would probably be better off applying to be in League 2 in England...
