Someone edited my post so I edited it again with the Freedom of speech. I didn't break any rules guess someone must have not been happy with my list.
I'll have to take extra care with tactics from now on.

Anyone see Parker try and tackle with his head last night?
Puts me in mind of:

What about nobody's allowed to make deals on a Wednesday? Or any deals which take place must go through after the current gameweek then you can't make changes to teams and mess up the opponent's tactics, and then there's no worry about people handing them in late.

why has everyone not had there say on this? I sometimes spot a spelling mistake I need to change or I spot something I could have said better, seems a lot of work having to run to a runner each time a word needs changing!

My transfer dealings since yesterday;
Out: Higuain, Ganso, Farfan, Rodriguez, Juan and Rafinha
In: Hulk, Hernanes, Gotze, Ba and Dzsudsak
And up by £5.3m
Should I be pleased?

I very much agree with you Tooze, but the consensus seems to be that hard line rules have to be in place over common sense.

Write them in a PM to yourself, then when you open it you can read through and spot mistakes. Then just copy it into the tactics thread.

Marky I don't know you lost Higuain he is a top striker you don't replace players like him. I would say no you shouldn't be pleased more happy that you've made it through without losing your fingers.
Or put it on MS Word and do a spell checker.

I don't think it matters, as long as it's recognizable. I mean, I could spell makring instead of marking and I don't think anyone would care?
Unless that gives me an auto 3-0 loss?

I think there is middle ground.
Human error on tactics can be corrected (like typos, forgetting to delete a mention of an injured player in the tactics etc).
Players played and tactic used cannot be changed after submitting (i.e. once a player is playing, he is playing. Once you have submitted to play the long ball game, you cannot change it.)
Once both teams have submitted, nothing can be changed.

I would have just preferred everyone had a say in it before a definate decision was made. But as usual it seems aslong as the chosen few are kept happy that is all that matters

I don't think a decision was made. There was two distinct different views on whether tactics could be changed after submitting them if one of the teams had since sold/bought a player.
I think it was left that we would gauge all opinions on it next week and perhaps vote.

It's not about common sense, it's about whether it is fair or not to be able to redo your tactics if you buy/sell someone after submitting them.
it was very much 50/50 over whether it was fair, so therefore something needs deciding and putting in rules.

So someone who is dyslexic like me who it might take 5 or 6 times of reading without spotting a mistake wouldnt be allowed to change it
hardly fair is it

Think you should be allowed to spelling/grammar but then you can just pop it in Word or re read before you post.

My issue with that is it says the time etc. your tactics are changed, it's therefore more difficult to enforce than the other two options.
Personally I think that's the end of it once submitted.

I'm wholeheartedly in agreement with you Tooze, I cannot see any issue with people making amendments as long as it's not cheating. Neither myself nor Marky were cheating yet it caused a ruckus.

I agree but it can be hard to track what is being changed when a post is edited. There needs to be a certain element of trust and I'm not sure there is that in abundance around here.
Yours/Marky's case was very different in that it was specific to a single player, but I think it's a wider debate now.
